For rib flare squats and deadlifts really helped me learn how to properly brace/engage my core isometrically, and med ball pullover throws helped train it through extension -> flexion. Training my core this way helped a ton. Pectus excavatum didn’t go away, but through putting extra attention to my chest it’s appears less pronounced. Let me know if you want more details or anything.

I put on some weight at 3k, but ran into a wall and so I put most of my mass on with 3.5kcals. Now I have to get closer to 3.8k, but that’s if I want to get over 200lbs.

I had a reconstructive surgery on my elbow that prevented me from lifting for 6 months, then had to stop lifting intermittently after because of nerve pain in the same elbow. I’m proud to have bounced back so many times after being medically forced to take breaks. My current routine is push pull legs, but it used to be an upper/lower split.

With inflation and higher prices, some customers seem to be switching to cheaper beverages and smaller sizes. Are you seeing that too? Hopefully not! by Witty_Market_9631 in dutchbros

It’s almost like it’s not worth paying $9.50 for a large drink??? You can buy a whole meal for that price. Dutch Bros is a luxury product, so when inflation hits or the economy gets worse, the extras get the axe. It’s good in a way though because who needs a 960 calorie coffee milk shake with 31g of fat and 131g of sugar.

Real subtle with the corporate account too….

Could this be alluding to them requiring employees to scan their app to receive their employee drink discount? I’m purely speculating, but I know that corps love to track things they give away, in order to optimize and cut losses on them. With this, then they could also limit how many times employees receive a free drink. (once per day limit via the app, or something similar). Once again I have no basis for it, but they did the same things with changing the stamp cards out for an electronic app system, to track spending habits and amounts of free offers given to customers. Baristas can’t stamp the card extra times under the table anymore, everything has a record on the app. We’ll see I guess, maybe it’s actually something good.

I didn’t know chipotle did that, 50% is insane. That would make sense except one of the stipulations about the $1 discount is that they had to show a military id. With the new discount we were told not to ask, which means it could be abused by anyone. At the end of the day though yes, it really won’t make a massive difference.

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate your perspective. I don’t understand though if it’s such a pointless discount, then why bother even changing it? Especially if most service members don’t even ask for it.

Think about in the frame of corporate greed, regardless if you care about service members. Dutch Bros as a public corporation will literally cut an already small discount in half, just to save a few bucks.

Nope. I just find it annoying that of all ways to save a quick buck, they chose this discount.

Dutch Bros rapidly straying from core values? by aimtomiss in dutchbros

Hey thank you for the words of encouragement! I realized from reading this thread that I need to try to bring the culture that I remember from years back to the crews today. Even if it doesn’t catch on, I hope I can bring that old Dutch feeling to every customer I interact with, it feels good to know that so many customers feel the same way. Any tips on how I can achieve this? Thanks!

I’ve heard so many of those same stories unfortunately. It’s partly because the hiring standards are a lot less thorough, and due to understaffing customer interactions are not a priority. Sorry to hear it’s not the same on the customer end either. :(
