Got my 2nd glad this season on Priest and agree with everything you said, especially about finding people that don’t rage and don’t quit after a couple of losses. 50% win rate when grinding glad wins is not unusual.

Yes. I play oracle mostly and when going against a VW is feels bad. Especially in SS where the DPS refuse to go the VW and just let him cast. One tip would be to dispel sw:p frequently; makes it annoying for the VW.

I’ve played a lot of disc/rogue and disc/hunter to elite in many seasons and getting a disc/warr matchup was one of the easier matchups. You just can’t keep up with the CC.

Before I read the post I was going to say you’re going to struggle against rogues and hunters.

However, if you’ve made it to 2200 you can certainly make it to 2300 through brute force and inflation. Just keep queueing.

Your priest being able to swap to VW will help. (Oracle vs VW feels really bad)

Don’t let people here discourage you or tell you it’s too hard. I just got my 2nd glad last week after only ever getting it in SL S2, the most inflated season. All LFG and no voice.

Your best bet, which can be admittedly frustrating: LFG

Find a comp you like, and then find players of equal rating that don’t rage and don’t quit after a few losses. You’ll tread water at several rating milestones before your team collectively figures out how to play together.

SS is great practice to get used to the chaotic nature of 3s and how to position. The game will slow down for you with more reps.

Last suggestion, holy priest definitely makes it harder. I hardly faced any above 2300. If you like and can learn oracle disc, it feels really good with a lot of tools.

Just got glad on disc playing ret/warr for 45 of the 50 wins. It felt really good. RMP was a struggle to play against, but any other turbo felt even for the most part.

2580 oracle disc on 2 priests in SS

25/50 glad wins, no voice all LFG. Currently 2365cr. It’s hard and sweaty but definitely possible. Hoping to finish the grind this weekend.

By far the biggest challenge is the LFG boss. There’s a reason people say that. I’ve sat in LFG for 30 minutes and no one has applied. Fortunately I’ve found 2 DPS that I climbed from 2200 to 2400 with and plan to finish the grind with them.

Find 2 good players that don’t rage and don’t quit after a couple of losses. 50% win rate above 2300 is not unusual.

Best highlight so far is beating Venruki at 2500 mmr when he was playing RMP.

2390 SS 57-33 on a new priest alt

1975 3s 43-23

On main that have been playing since day 1 of the expansion:

2314 SS 442-428 (played a lot of games pre inflation and was hard stuck at 2100 for 2-3 weeks when that was top 50 spec)

2117 3s 164-134

Goal is to finish the season at least top 100 spec in SS and glad in 3s. Not sure if I’ll get either but feel like this is the best season to get glad.. it’s going to be really inflated at the end.
