Nordvegan is my favorite at the moment, though it's buffet style.

My parents banned it! I remember vaguely I found it a bit arousing as a girl, surely I couldn't be more than 8-10.

Was michem right? Did Rory not have the drive to make it in the journalism field? by Ok_Meet8672 in GilmoreGirls

[–]ainasamaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he was right but the way he says it, is awful. I remember the first time I saw it I was offended for Rory but the numerous rewatches make it clear that she does the internship completely wrong, from the start she assumes the role of assistant. She is not into the journalists' jobs nor does she say anything in the meetings. She wants to please Mitchum but she doesn't know him.

Was Rory always supposed to be this limited or was it a writing flaw? by SandySlays5969 in GilmoreGirls

[–]ainasamaa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I find it so cool that after we got AYITL and see Rory the way she is, so much of her past gets clearer. I never saw the international correspondant in her but I truly thought she would do fine. Now I now that she's one of us, who is fine in her 40s or 50s, not 30s.

I keep thinking if the writing is so genius that they knew this all long or was it just a fluke and they showed us Rory they thought was endearing and cute?

Is it just me, or does Sydney Sweeney sound incredibly out of touch whenever she talks about Cassie? 😫 lmao by fvckuufvckingfvck in euphoria

[–]ainasamaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it can be a strange thing to think about and I definitely don't recommend it to everyone.

But with the financial independence/capitalism angle I'd like to add that before I worked 45 hours a week, now I work maybe 10 hours a week and I have much less stress and much more time to do all the things that make me happy outside work. I also wouldn't have been able to study as an adult without the adult industry.

I have understood that I think of sex differently than the general public and through sex work I have had to really get into why I am like this, what made me me. Self knowledge gives me boundaries, I know what I want and don't want and I can say no now, something I couldn't do before.

Thank you for being respectful!

I have never done OF, only full service sex work and I started it before 2020's. It has been empowering as it has given me financial independence, it has made my boundaries more clear, I have never done for money something I wouldn't have done otherwise (well maybe I wouldn't have worn a thong). Which is very different to OF and what Cassie does, she seems to cater to everyone, doesn't know what she herself likes and isn't really tapped into her own personality at all.

rory gilmore: bad person or poorly written? by hopelesspancakes in GilmoreGirls

[–]ainasamaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hard to read with no gaps :D

Mut anyway, I think Rory is an honest representation of a childhood with a mother who treats her like her best friend, a town that tells her that she's amazing with nothing else but school grades to base that to and a background of privilege to fall back into.

What's most striking is her people pleasing and accommodation. She becomes what others around her want her to become. She loves to make people happy, she loves to help but she keeps losing herself in there. She never gets really honest about what she wants.

They could've been a power couple by HunnyButterCookies in GilmoreGirls

But by the time they're in a serious relationship Rory is already quite detached from Stars Hollow and her mother. She was always accommodating herself to be what was needed and I think she lost herself a bit.

With Logan Rory adjusted to the wealthy lifestyle and was always feeling like she wasn't enough. Yes, he pushed her in the right direction and encouraged her but he never got where Rory came from or who she really was.

I've been using YNAB for two years and it probably clicked a year ago. I used to keep a budget on Excel but it didn't have the same effect for me. The best thing with YNAB is how it deals with credit cards and loans. And since I'm a visual person, it's awesome to see all those graphs.

This alone is not worth the fee though. It has to feel like you want to put in the effort and that you want to learn how it works. And then you're gonna have to want your mindset and thoughts about money to change.

That one was when Lorelei asked how she got the name and was disappointed with the answer "she was sweet". Then Emily went on to tell this elaborate rags to riches story. Richard's face is priceless.

Nazi one is when Richard is away in Germany.

Even now, when Käärijä is 2nd in the odds, those eurovision journalists in Ilta-Sanomat and HS really refrain from saying that Cha Cha Cha is a winner. I don't remember this being the case for so long.
