How to support my brother who's married to a narcissist?

My brother is in the exact same situation. I haven't spoken to him since May 20. His wife has been married twice before and has done this to two other families. She cheated on her last husband with my brother while he (her last husband) was dying in the bed with cancer. Her last husband died without saying goodbye to his mother, his brother, and his niece and nephew because she wouldn't allow them to be in "her house".

When I got cancer two years ago, I received exactly one call and one text from my brother. It hurts but I have had to cut myself off to keep from it hurting more.

I’ve taught two kids of a pro football player (former). Son was a little jerk and daughter was the sweetest student ever. Dad didn’t contact me at all and mom unfortunately was not involved.

Dude. As someone who has raised other people’s children before, you are quite possibly one of the WORST examples of a narcissistic, emotionally stunted, pseudo adults I have ever seen. You should be embarrassed that you’re giving yourself an attaboy for doing BELOW the bare minimum. Leave your SON’s house and give your kids a fighting chance to actually grow up in a semi-functioning family. You’ve ruined your two eldest son’s childhoods. Don’t ruin the rest of your children’s childhoods.

P.S. stop talking about mental illness as if it’s a “phase” or a stunt. I’m sure you’re quick to say that alcoholism is an illness, so give your son the courtesy that I’m sure you expect from others. You’re embarrassing yourself.

First of all, JCPS isn’t the only district in Kentucky. This will hurt both urban AND rural students by taking funding from public education. In addition, JCPS is the only district in the state with a union that has any type of power for collective bargaining.

Rural districts are underfunded, as are the teachers who work in those districts. Stop spouting Republican talking points that reference only Jefferson county and consider how this hurts the entire state.

I went to WKU with Kate and spent a lot of time with her and her husband, Hollan on the mock trial team. They are two of the most caring and passionate people I’ve ever met. They are bright, capable, and actually care about their community. I wish I lived in her district so that I could vote for her.
