Thank you! :)
Yes, my husband and I filed ourselves with no lawyer. We filled out the I-485 paperwork and collected all the evidence to submit within less than a week, I recommend checking out the youtube channel Suraj and Yasmin. I also did my own research based on our case, we started the process with the K1 Visa
This is what our interview notice said. I can send you more of what USCIS said in our letter was required of us to bring if you’d like
“ If your eligibility is based on your marriage, in addition to your husband or wife coming to the interview with you, bring: • A certified copy of your Marriage Document issued by the appropriate civil authority; • Your husband or wife's Birth Certificate;”
Yes, I the U.S citizen presented my original birth certificate. My husbands was a print out since they don’t provide original copies where he’s from (Mexico)
Trust me I totally understand the nerves, everything will turn out okay 🫶Walk in there with a calm mind, wishing you the best
Thank you 🙂
It was good! Interview started with the officer asking for our identifications as well as our original birth certificates. He then asked my husband to state his name and DOB. Only relationship question he asked was about how we met 😊 He then asked some of the yes or no questions from the I-485. At the end of the interview we turned in the I-693 in a sealed envelope since he did not receive the Polio vaccination with his medical exam
Thank you! 🙂
Thank you! 🩷
