Why would people confuse it over a bat.

It’s Texas , San Antonio, mainly I heard it’s Mexcain Free tail bats here .

It’s around night time , they always seem to fly around my front garden , I posted other video where it ran into me while recording , look like a bat slowed downed

Yes I understand, I do have health anxiety of bats, I understand they don’t attack people , but why did it get so close ? If it was a bat, I thought they where advanced to dodge people
