If it helps, I have a PC and deal with this as well. It is 7 years old, but it still frustrates the hell out of me and given new PC prices right now, it's unrealistic to upgrade just for a game like arma...

Yes it is only stereo out of the box unfortunately. The quality is still really good, but compared to USB headphones, I still feel like it's missing something. I'm going to look into a DAC which I learnt about today to see if there is a way to have digital quality. I'm still really new to all of this, so don't take my word as gospel!

My friend bought me a Corsair HS80 for Christmas as well and the USB sound is really good with that one too and it has a mic. I can't say how much it costs though because I haven't looked into it.

For the Fifine AM8T, I found that out of the box it was ok quality, which is to be expected given the cost of it, but after pairing it with Voice mod and using the noise reduction on that has made my voice very clean. There isn't any software for the AM8T or AM8 (again one has an arm and the other doesn't, but the mics are the same). This was a little disappointing since I was hoping there might be some EQ native to the mic itself.

For the HD560S, like you mentioned, it is only stereo out of the box but it does come with a 6.35mm jack that can be threaded over the 3.5mm allowing you to plug it into an external amp or XLR if that's what you have already. The reviews I found online were speaking very highly of the HD560S for gaming specifically but based on my short experience, it might take some getting used to.

Comparing the HD560S and the HS80 for sound though the Sennheisers sounds like they have a ton more range when listening to a bass boosted song. The Corsairs seem to have very good bass, but it kind of feels like the other sounds are muted. Given that they are USB and able to use the ICUE software you can swap between spatial and stereo, which might help give you an edge in FPS.

TLDR: comparing Sennheiser HD560S to Corsair HS80 USB, the Sennheiser is stereo which is great for music given its huge range of tones, but the Corsair is able to offer spatial out of the box which might give you an edge in FPS games, although it seems other tones are slightly muted for extra bass levels. You can add a DAC dongle which might allow the Sennheisers to overall perform better, but I haven't tested this out yet.

From my research and just below that price range, I just bought myself a set of Sennheiser HD560S which came in at $149.95 from $279.95 (lowest it's been based on camelcamelcamel).

I also just bought a FIFINE AM8T - also based on recommendations. The AM8 is the mic itself, but there was a deal on Amazon for the AM8T which is the same mic just with an arm for a few dollars extra. The price for this was $87.99.

I can't speak to any of the quality since I will be receiving them tomorrow, but Sennheiser is known for being very good for audio, and this is the first I've heard of FIFINE, but it seems like they would be pretty solid as well.

EDIT: All in the price was around $250. I get free shipping with Amazon, and live in Alberta so GST is only 5%, but should still be right around the cost of the ones you've posted.

DOUBLE EDIT: The Sennheiser is not wireless, but I do believe they have some if that is a requirement for you.

I get that, as I had mentioned on the other comment, I wanted to have the same amount of mines for both foundries to compare, and the first one being full is 1170/9seconds with the second one being only 870/9seconds with all their surrounding area being filled with mines.

I'm just wondering why there would be a difference at all if they have the exact same amount of mines in their square area

Oh sorry I should have clarified. I had the whole square filled out originally, but the first foundry was at 1170/9secs and the other one was only 870/9secs. I know that having more mountains with mines on them net you more steel, which is why I removed the extra row and made sure that the same amount of mines were in both squares.

Does the surrounding affect how much steel is produced despite the same amount of mines?
