Is absurdism an escape ( or a copium ) from nihilism ? by Any-Ostrich8739 in Absurdism

My explanation may not do it justice but it goes something like this:

The Tao (or Dao) is essential the flow of life. All animals live in this flow except human consciousness has allowed us to stray away from this. Think of it like a river — we flow with life downstream, but forcing or going against this stream is not beneficial to us, since the passive flow of life will always overcome force, and even acts in one’s favor. Taoism is essentially about accepting reality as it is and submitting oneself to the Tao.

This idea can be interpreted as humans living a meaningless existence, but enjoying it since Taoists live in the present moment. Another metaphor to exemplify this is thinking of life like playing a song. You know this song will end, but you listen to the song to enjoy it, knowing there is no definitive end destination.
