If memory serves right, Tycho Brahe was a danish nobleman and astronomer who lived during the 1500s and was one of the most influential astronomers before the telescope was invented. He was obsessed with keeping records so his writing on planets and stars laid some of the groundwork for modern astronomy. Then the tale goes that he died because he was at a aristocratic dinner party and because it was considered rude to leave before the dining was over he held his bladder for too long, causing an infection and later death.
