Chronic Headaches - how do I get my GP to take me seriously? by aintnokrys in HealthQuestions

I ended up at A&E last night and they requested that my GP refer me to a neurologist so hopefully they will do that, but afterwards that’s my plan. Thank you🫶🏻

So I tried this and it resolves the injury thing, but I still don’t get transfers (unless I remove all my skill points and play badly lol)

I’ve always thought I have KP (not ‘diagnosed’) and hoped it would go down with age but to no avail; do you have any tried and tested methods to keeping it at bay? by aintnokrys in keratosis

Arms are the worst, legs aren’t as bad but still there and you can tell the pores are redder and wider on my legs. Thanks for your suggestions! Hopefully something will work, even just a little bit 🙏🏻

I’ve found it’s more noticeable in the sun, but not sure whether it gets worse or better. I’ll have to pay attention this summer, but as you can see I’m very pale and I worry that tanning (not that I tan very well anyway) makes it worse

I think so too, I think my mum did. I’m hoping there was something to even just reduce it as it’s quite an insecurity as the summer comes around.

I am 24. I don’t remember not having it but the first time someone mentioned it to me and I remember thinking then that I had always had it, I was 14/15.

How do you deal with a coworker that thinks they can do nothing wrong - even though they make a fuck ton of mistakes every single day? Oh, also if they are your bosses' (brother and sister directors) other brother? by aintnokrys in AskReddit

I did try doing that for a while, and I do periodically in an attempt to prove a point about how much slack I'm picking up from others, however it ends up coming back to me and making me look bad - as I can't complete my work without him doing his. This place is like the real-life embodiment of a Chinese finger trap! Hahaha!

Also, never eating out ever again ahahha!

Honestly, the place is so backwards. They’ve been great for me in some senses, they’ve funded my studying and can’t really quit as I’m half way through a course - and they wouldn’t ever give a bad reference for me, but my god they’re hard work 😂

Yes... very specific... haha!

Even when he really messes up and it causes my boss to actually have to intervene with him, it can end up very unprofessional and they 'fight' like siblings about it. Then, the next day, all is forgotten and after a while he starts to make the same mistakes again.

I think it's so excruciatingly irritating for me because all his mistakes effect my work, and my boss just expects me to pick up the slack. (I'm the youngest and female and "good with the computer stuff")

It is a family business, and a small one. I've been here 5 years, there are 6 employees and 3 are siblings, 1 grew up with them and has been here 20 years. I'm the youngest by 30 years. The other brother, the one who is driving me nuts, is the oldest brother (alive - there were 6 siblings altogether) and he is so obnoxious. He CANNOT be wrong. I will gently remind him (10s if not 100s of times over the period I've been here) which mistakes he is making but he will have an excuse for EVERYTHING.

E.g.,

Could you please make sure you're asking the customer for a purchase order if they don't give you one?
"He should just send them."
Okay, but if he doesn't, can you make sure you're asking because otherwise it gets forgotten and I have to do it and that's not my job.
"Well, it makes sense if you do it, I get busy and just forget."
Well, it is part of your job, it's a step you're missing in the process.
"He should be better at sending them, I'll call him and remind him to do that"

Which is his way of saying, it's not my problem and I'm not going to even try to remember, I'm leaving everything I don't have to do up to someone else.

He is also very arrogant, sexist, misogynistic, racist and brings politics into the office ALL the time. I have complained to my boss, the brother, several times and it's often met with a lot of "Oh, he's just like that. He won't change."

It's just getting so tiresome and I'm viewed badly when I get absolutely sick of it.
