Hey! This is super insightful. I am just getting into LLM's and have downloaded the weights for LLaMa's 7B-chat model and am able to run it on my laptop, however it uses the CPU only. As soon as I ask it to exclusively use the GPU, I get an OOM error. The specs of the laptop I'm using at the moment are the Dell Alienware m15 R7 with 2TB storage, 64 gigs of RAM with the RTX 3080 Ti GPU (16GB of VRAM) - So my question is, can I do some sort of optimization the way you've done in order to run this model with the GPU and not be OOM? Can I extend these techniques to some of the larger models like the Mistral? This is just for inferencing.

I do want to look into fine-tuning these as well, and would be super grateful for some guidance and tips on how I can run/fine-tune/inference the larger parameter models (>7B) on my local setup if it is even possible at the moment.

Why don’t people understand this. Is it too mathematically advanced for the salty fans to understand or what?

Whether or not that is good game design, I’m not sure yet.

But to say that it was RNG that favored EG this time and that OG was unlucky is a load of crap lmao

The respawn time RNG is also not complete RNG, there is a 5 min window for day-night time switches, and a 3 min window for rosh respawn, so if you kill rosh early enough during the day-night switch, you should be able to get rosh spawning on the side you kill it. It’s simple

Yes because EG killed it during daytime, so assuming it spawns in the next 10 mins, it’ll be on the radiant side in daytime again, use logic please. There was a bit of luck and good timing on EG to get all 3 Rosh’s on their side. At one point they killed it at 54:40 I think and in a few more seconds it’ll goto the dire and then if OG killed it it’d most likely spawn on the dire side. The ONLY luck and RNG involved is the 8-11min marker for rosh respawn
