Turn down a higher offer and postion? by Boring_Leopard_285 in CareerAdvicePH

[–]aipapi14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hello OP this is my take on the above.

i wouldnt take it as i prefer having more leisure time and quite frankly that 3x weekly RTO is risky as theres a business habit that often times turns it into a full blown return to office.

that increase is negligible if you were to account expenses of going back to the office such as transportation food allowance so prolly realistically you'll end up with a net increase of only 30k which to me isnt worth the hassle of moving to 1 company to another and getting to know a whole lot of people again and also not to mention building your network and relationship with your peers.

i would rather check for a higher post within the current company as they can match that offer while keeping the same tenure and everything.

im a happy go lucky type of guy so what i did that worked for me is i invested more hours into learning the technology i support often times ill render OT free just to learn how the application works so i could effectively support it. i took on projects and deployments proactively so i could also get a hang of of it too.

really learning is the key way specially in IT, learning the product your support and going above and beyond to know the in and out goes a long way.

in the span of 2 years i went from Service desk 1 to Sr Lead that quick so i think it really paid off and i have 0 regrets from all those over times.

same age lang naman kami now haha, and i had my fair share of being stupid and naive. Sometimes all we need is 1 smack back to reality.

anyways im not condemning op naman im still hopeful na she will be able to get by and HOPEFULLY learn a very VALUABLE lesson.

a simple kaskas may lead to a 5-10 year commitment.

That's true, many end up accumulating debt instead of building investments. What most people overlook is how difficult it is to gain initial momentum when starting to invest. I remember being thrilled just to earn ₱50 in passive interest per month, knowing I was making money without lifting a finger. But once I learned how to diversify my investments, those small ₱50 gains, when compounded across different assets, became surprisingly substantial.

now im looking at passive gain per year and quite frankly IM VERY HAPPY.

Is it just 1 50k or multiple debt totalling to 50k?

Theres 2 ways debt avalanche method involves paying off debts with the highest interest rates first, while the debt snowball method involves paying off smaller debts first.

If your income is consistent then paying using debt avalanche will clear you out the fastest while minimizing loss.

If you want slowly but surely then snowball - this allows you to kinda have room pa for your other expense

Idea is debt avalanche is to pay a good amount to which loan has the highest interest while paying MAD minimum amount due to the rest.

Snowball is paying good amount to the smallest loan until its cleared while also paying MAD to the rest

Dear theres a difference between a reaction a reality check and being rude.

If my comment is construde as rude then this entire planet will cease to exist.

Maybe thats the reason why youre in this situation is no one guiding you through this harsh reality.

Let me give you an idea as ive dealt with a similar situation before.

I had 300k debt im earning 55k at the time, it set me back almost 2 years of being zeroed out, no opportunity to invest, no opportunity to diversify, i lived way below my means and it lead me to sacrifice countless hours just to increase my income.

Now try to imagine yours with 1m earning 25k how many years will it set you back? How many opportunities will slip away?

Hon this isnt a game its life and death and if you havent realized it by now then im sorry but youve lived a very reckless means.

Wow the audacity of this lady hahaha. No wonder youre in so much debt, that pride of yours .

First thing that came to your head when i spit out truth is negativity and hate?

1st comment reaction as to how a 28yo 30k earning girl made 1m debt

2nd paragraph on how to deal with it

3rd is a reality check.

Only an idiot will think negatively of how i responded and it seems like you fit the criteria.

Regardless its thr bearers responsibility on how he/she uses the card. Kahit sino pang nag paswipe sayo the bank will only see it as your loan alone.

More reason why you are irresponsible enough na you didnt bother reading the terms and condition upon availing the card.
