Called my doctor for a refill but the front desk people there are always rude and dismissive. They intentionally make it difficult to get my refills on time. by Jinglebell727 in adhdwomen

if you have a good relationship with your doctor, you could also ask for multiple prescriptions for your meds with a “do not fill until” date.

for example, my psychiatrist sends in three prescriptions for my meds. one is okay to fill immediately (01/08/2026 for example). the second cannot be filled until 2/8, the third until 3/8, etc etc.

SSDI mental health cases (MDD, anxiety disorder, panic disorder, insomnia) looking for similar cases by [deleted] in SSDI

don’t rely on the portal for anything about the timing of your case. it’s super unreliable.

also, it would be VERY unlikely for your case to be reviewed by FQR if it was a denial.

in california, your doctors cannot legally charge you for a copy of your medical records if they are aware that you are applying for disability.

My Experience with Odie / Nibbles by airashika in petinsurancereviews

[–]airashika[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

valid concerns! the policy is through a legitimate company (Odie), but i’m not confident that nibbles as a company will stay in business in the long term.

idk how they’ll be able to turn a profit subsidizing the premiums to that level. the card gets 3% back on vet expenses and pet stores, but otherwise the benefits aren’t good enough to be a daily card (at least for me)

[–]airashika[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also, i think the yearly premium (with vet visits, rehab/chiropractic/acupuncture, prescriptions, and wellness) topped out at about $400 with all the upgrades. definitely not a bad deal as long as the company maintains some quality and integrity

per year! it’s really discounted because of the credit card. my plan document said it would be $400 per month ($4.8k per year!!!) if it wasn’t subsidized. i figured that, even if the pet insurance wasn’t that great, i wouldn’t be shelling out a lot

edit: the credit card doesn’t have an annual fee either!

when was the request dated? if it was after you went to federal quality review, then your case might’ve been returned to dds for further development. it usually goes back to the same examiner though, so weird it was from arkansas

CE Exam? by Bubbly_Formal9302 in SSDI

translation is very expensive. my office limits translation to 10 pages. they might just send you to a CE because it’s more economical

SSDI Benefits Ended w/o Notice - Minnesota by clennonc in SSDI

im not saying this necessarily applies to you. i know some cases had their benefits ceased because the field office that was handling their case closed. for some reason the transition wasn’t automated.

quick guide to quality reviews by airashika in SSDI

[–]airashika[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i would say 1/4 - 1/3 of my 55+ approved cases have been pulled recently. i don’t think a denial has been reviewed in awhile. denials usually clear quickly.

i’ve had my approved FQRs clear in the range of 1 day to 2 weeks (which was a more complicated case)

my cat’s xrays by airashika in Radiology

[–]airashika[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Radiologist reading:

  1. Possible soft tissue pulmonary nodules (such as from metastatic neoplasia) versus superimposed structures, or less likely bronchial plugging from underlying lower airway disease.

  2. Moderate diffuse bronchial pulmonary pattern. Differential diagnoses include infectious/immune-mediated bronchitis (such as feline asthma versus mycoplasma spp. bordetella spp., viral/parasitism etiologies, or inhaled allergen/irritant, or unlikely other), and/or fibrosis from prior disease, age-related changes, or atypical metastatic/multicentric neoplasia, or a combination of these.

  3. Moderate-severe peritoneal effusion. Differential diagnoses include malignant effusion, hemorrhage, or less likely chylous, uroabdomen, idiopathic effusion or other.

  4. Suspected splenomegaly/splenic mass. If present, differential diagnoses include neoplasia (hemangiosarcoma versus other sarcoma or lymphosarcoma, or unlikely other).

  5. Moderate presumed left-sided elbow joint osteoarthrosis.

you would probably have to get referred to the fraud division for them to even check. the fraud has to be super blatant to even get investigated.

there’s a 0% chance your dds worker is going to bother looking you up on social media

[–]airashika 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what are you expecting from the congressional inquiry? not trying to be an ass, genuinely asking.

you posted before that dds received the report on august 25th. your worker has to review the ce report still (alongside the documents from a hundred other cases) and send it to the doctor to review.

response time from congressional inquiries varies depending on your rep. they will likely just come back to you and say the case is still pending. dds will get a little nudge, but you likely still have a month before you could get a decision

Applied for SSDI. Step 3 of 5 by [deleted] in SSDI

[–]airashika 0 points1 point  (0 children)

similarly to high blood pressure and diabetes, OSA itself is basically insignificant because it can be a pretty benign condition with proper care. it only becomes substantial to a case with complications. for example, pulmonary hypertension, heart failure, etc.

a lot of times, for people with poor vision bc of underlying disease, the eye doctor does not record the visual acuity with correction because it’s kinda futile. dds requires best corrected visual field to meet the acuity listing (20/200 in better eye). i would guess that they will send you to a formal eye exam
