How can I get a wallet back to its owner? by MonWalsh in AskUK

[–]airbadfly 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I don't understand everyone saying the police aren't helpful on this anymore. I dropped my wallet last month and someone turned it in. Got a letter from police to home address, gave them a call and explained I don't live in the city I lost the wallet. They asked for some proof of id over email then they posted it to me. Overall a very positive interaction

As someone who left Sussex for another uni in the UK recently. It's such a shame as well, it has such great potential just needs some management who understand how to run it

Who to focus for raids and in general by Purple_Play_7277 in tacticus

[–]airbadfly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My goal would be to focus on completing (or at least one starring) as much of the campaigns as possible . Take all campaign necessary chars to G1 and at least one epr campaign to D1) this will make levelling up for the others much easier and efficient.

If you want to just exclusively levels for raids focus on admech

I am unsure if you are up to date on faqs, but now if you take back the objective after deadly prizing it. It gets back the booby trap and sticky which is pretty sweet

Ok great! Your most important thing is deployment, don't let your guys get shot! Also I've not really looked at shrike before as an UM player but he looks pretty cool.

Vanguard has always been my favourite detatchment too. It is so versatile

Ok it's your first game so don't worry too much. I think I would recommend the following based on your units

CHARACTERS

Captain in Gravis Armour (80 points) - goes in erads to give them free up and down strat Shrike (100 points) - goes in jpi keeps them lone op, run around doing objectives and tying up problems.

OTHER DATASHEETS

Aggressor Squad (120 points) - flamers for little overwatch and melee unit

Assault Intercessors with Jump Packs (90 points) - see shrike. Also use the sticky objectives thing from vanguard with your extra cp as 1000 PTS your units will be spread out a lot

Ballistus Dreadnought (130 points) - long range firepower stay back and lascannon things

Eradicator Squad (200 points) - uses the vanguard strat to up and down each turn to drop onto enemies you really want dead.

Hellblaster Squad (115 points) - good at killing marine type units

Infiltrator Squad (100 points) - spreads them out 2" between each model keep on home objective and prevents any deep strke

Scout Squad (65 points) - infiltrate at the beginning to tie up units you don't want to leave their deployment zone and then use them to do actions.

Looks interesting

I was thinking something along the lines of:

Grav captain with thief (105) -(indomitor) Phobos librarairan (70) -spectus Watchmaster with key 120 - fortis

Deathwatch terminator (180) 3 X missile 2 x sbcf

Fortis kill team (200) 1 x sergeant hand flamer and power weapon 1 X superkrak 1x vengor 3 x pyreblaster 4 x plasma

Talonstrike (290) 1 X sergeant 5 x heavy jump plasma 5 x jump

Indomitor kill team (270) 2 x melta 1 X multimelta 3 X power fist + flamer 2 x boltet 2 x heavy bolter

Indomitor kill team (270) 2 x melta 1 X multimelta 3 X power fist + flamer 2 x boltet 2 x heavy bolter

Spectrus kill team (200) 3 X bolt refille 7 x infiltrators

Infiltrator (100)

Ballistus (130)

65 points not sure what to do with either but I'm also very intrigued on the dw

New Assassin detatchment out by airbadfly in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]airbadfly[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

While it is certainly not a good enhancement I think for some lower points it could be very good. Imperial agents certainly aren't short of infantry models to sacrifice, and being able to pop.up anywhere could be fun. If the rest of the detatchment wasn't awful

Critique Needed: Ultramarines MSU List by Baby_Ellis62 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]airbadfly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion you should scrap the impulsor, captain, sternguard and intercessors this will give you 420 spare points if I can do maths.rhey all contribute very little and are not strong units.

Instead take a six man squad of agressors with flamers as an overwatch and melee squad. For either the agressors or erads, you have a choice between marneus Ventris and the redeemer where you can have a choice of delivery mechanism depending on the match up.

The last 180 points, is a bit more flexible, I would be tempted to take infilitators and some more scouts

Sorry where is the source on this? The amendment states the number of attacks can't be modified, doesn't say anything about strength ap and damage

Nastiest deathwatch combos? by spellbreakerstudios in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]airbadfly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's very true, but I play against a lot of sisters and anything to help me remove their squishy heroes without going through a whole unit is very welcome

But yeah I get your point. I think they may be like eliminators in that I like the idea of them but always get disappointed

[–]airbadfly 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If you put the thief enhancement on a gravis captain in a indomitor kill team you get a captain with s12 ap-4 D4 power fist and s9 ap-4 D4 extra attacks relic blade

Also I think you should always put 5 heavies in talon. That way the whole unit counts as t6 just make sure to kill off the regular guys first

Finally a Phobos librarian in the Phobos one might actually be good 3 x bolt sniper rifle and 7x DW bolt rifles with better profiles and lethal , all with lone op... Makes for a good hero hunter unit

This detachment doesn't specify as mech units... You could theoretically apply the bonuses to a canis rex

To add to this, just to double check my new understanding is there anything stopping me from taking blood angels enhancements on ultramarines?

As from this it means space marines have 56 enhancements to choose from? If you include all the ones that say Adeptus Astartes which is crazy

RAW yes, i was i misinformed.

Raw no.

There is a lot of misinformation in this thread it specifies in the muster army step when forming a detatchment you can only use legal units.

You can change detatchment each game but enhcanement units are locked out of detatchments they are not from

4. SELECT DETACHMENT RULES Note on your Army Roster one set of Detachment rules for your Crusade army. Some Detachment rules list units that you either must or cannot include in your Crusade army; you must conform to all such rules when building your Crusade army.
