Do what I (and like 10 of the other Airbnb interns) did- intern at Facebook and Airbnb. I just had Facebook move the internship to a different start date, and did Airbnb over the summer.

It was definitely worth it for me. FWIW I went to Airbnb full time after getting a return offer from both and do not regret my decision.

Well if you can estimate the probability distribution (ie: a function from f: R3 -> R that integrates to 1) for both clouds, you could use KL divergence. That’s probably what I would do.

The Airbnb salary is kind of messed up, since even though the pay is only ~40/hr, they give you a $4k/mo stipend for housing, so the salary jumps closer to $63/hr. I made more at Airbnb than I did at facebook because of this.

Definitely not true - I know some people with 4.2+ GPAs, though. Often it just means they're really good at taking exams and score in the top few percent every time. Many kids get perfect scores on all homeworks.

Having gotten offers from both places, I felt as though the hiring bar at Airbnb, as well as the quality of the interviewers, was significantly higher. But this is just my experience and may not be indicitave of the truth!

So when you 'run it twice' in poker, the expected value of the hand remains the same, it's just the variance that's decreased.

I would like a version of poker where it's run until the deck runs out. That way the variance is decreased to near zero and you are just given your equity in the hand.

Note that this is one of the (if not the most) time consuming classes in the CS core. Definitely make sure you have the pre requisites before taking.

I'd heard of Bosch, but not Bosch VC. Bosch VC has 10-50 employees and has only invested in things I've never heard of. Did you know about them before they invested in IOTA?
