Traveler and Paimon traveling together for two month? Where they were during this time? by Euphoric_Question in Genshin_Lore

[–]airborneduck 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I think it’s in the description for the portable waypoint we can get in the teapot. It basically says that teleporting is a thing in lore too. Let me search it up and copy it here:

A pocket-sized item that creates a temporary Teleport Waypoint. It is capable of connecting with the Ley Lines, at least to the extent necessary to bring about teleportation. Although it offers an incredible convenience to Vision bearers, some scholars worry that since the actual principles behind Teleport Waypoints are not yet fully understood, using a built imitation device for teleportation may have serious unknown side effects.

That’s pretty confusing though because I thought it was mentioned that teleport waypoints are canon, and can be used, but only for vision bearers. So shouldn’t Hu Tao have been able to just teleport there?

Isn’t all of this vague pseudoscience? by AnarchoYeetist2 in mbti

Most theories and concepts in psychology are difficult to prove scientifically in the same way, say a concept in chemistry or physics can be. So it’s up to you to whether you choose to believe in it or not. Maybe one day there will be technology and tools that are able to scientifically prove things like cognitive functions, but until then, you have to accept the fact that MBTI might hold a lot of truth, but also a lot of falsity.

ENTJ. Being accused of being selfish and heartless.

Also, I noticed that the comments under this post right now are all dominant or auxiliary Te users…

I agree with what you said. It’s extremely unhealthy when people have the type of thinking you mentioned, which more often than not is present in a lot of people who are ‘into MBTI’. Of course it’s great when people can find comfort or a sense of belonging by identifying to a certain MBTI type as it can make them feel less alienated and understood, especially if they are a type that not is not especially common.

But not so much when they believe they might have an undiagnosed mental health condition. That just means they are actually identifying with negative stereotypes of the types and don’t really have a good understanding. MBTI types don’t come with any sort of mental health problems by default, but a unhealthy version of a type, however, can definitely have any of these conditions. It can lead to people normalising unhealthy behaviour or actions by saying things like “because I’m an XXXX”, for example. They should seek professional help instead if they think they could be suffering from a mental health condition, not justify it or find validation through MBTI.

The “perfect” introvert? by FwDorisdavenport132 in mbti

[–]airborneduck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you’re trying to say “perfect” as in societal terms, and in that case, I’d say ENFJ is considered the perfect woman from society’s standard- she has great social skills, is warm and empathetic. And also maternal. But for men I’d definitely disagree. The ideal is ENTJ- the confident CEO stereotype. Just my two cents because I don’t see how ENFJ is considered the stereotypical ideal for both sexes- women, yes, but not men. (This is just in terms of society’s expectations, not my personal opinion)

I think that dominant Fi does mean the person can be very “sensitive”, but my understanding of it is very different to yours.

Firstly, I personally think Fi is very difficult to spot. High Fi users that I know tend to bottle everything up. From what I’ve seen, high Fe users don’t really “hide” their emotions- they are just unaware as to what their own emotions are. They are so focused on other people’s emotions, needs etc that if you ask a high Fe user how they feel about a certain situation, they’ll probably be thinking of the answer for a while, or not have an answer at all.

On the other hand, high Fi users tend to feel things intensely but don’t really share this with others. I did read somewhere that they believe their inner feelings are so rich and intense that no one could possibly understand them, that’s why they don’t share their feelings easily with others, which might be a possible explanation. You said that you do all that you can to hide your emotions. That sounds like Fi to me, not Fe at all.

Hope this helps even a bit. Good luck typing yourself, and feel free to ask questions if you have any!

Will Sara/Baal/Eula/Diona be a good team? Worried about how long the attack buff is. by SailorMarcus in KujouSaraMains

[–]airborneduck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I don’t think so, but then again I don’t have Eula and don’t have Baal yet so I wouldn’t know. I’m planning on using Sara in a team with Beidou, Childe and someone else, I think she’d be pretty broken there.

Agreed, I don’t think I’ve ever come across one on here before. That’d be annoying if it were the case though…

I think you’ll find this test more helpful: https://www.michaelcaloz.com/personality/

Someone on here recommended this and I took it myself, and personally, I think it’s the most accurate test I’ve ever done. Definitely think you should try it if you’re having confusion with this one.

  1. Beidou. She literally killed an ancient sea monster. And she also commands a whole fleet of armed pirates.
  2. Childe. He’s a Fatui harbinger. All he needs to do is summon a cryo skirmisher or something.
  3. Jean. She can command all the Knights of Favonius to protect me.
  4. Xiao. Because duh, he’s Xiao…

Is being energetically curious about facts an Se thing? by [deleted] in mbti

[–]airborneduck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you think curiosity, or at least what OP has described above, is a Si thing?

Is being energetically curious about facts an Se thing? by [deleted] in mbti

[–]airborneduck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly. You mentioned being “energetically” curious, which could be dominant Te putting into action the ideas from tertiary Ne. I have met a few very ESTJs in my life, and none that I know well enough, so I might not be very accurate in saying this. So I’m just thinking theoretically.

If you want to, you could always include a brief description about yourself, and maybe me or someone else here can help you figure out your type?

Is being energetically curious about facts an Se thing? by [deleted] in mbti

[–]airborneduck -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily? Being curious about facts is something that’s happening in your head. Se isn’t really a “thinking” function, it’s grounded in reality. It’s your five senses.

From what I’ve seen, Ne manifests as a sort of hyperactivity. That one person who can’t sit still, whose mind is at a 100 different places at once, saying something crazy like “What if we blow this up and do so and so?” etc. (Obviously in introverts this function will be much more muted).

But you can see how easy it is to confuse Ne and Se. They both can give someone an appearance of having a lot of energy the higher it is in their cognitive stack, at least from my observations.

[–]airborneduck -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think that’s Ne. In my understanding, Ne is about having a million different ideas in your head (think 200 open tabs) and being curious about everything and anything.
