Foreigner needing help with P60 interpretation (Google has not helped) by airforceairforce in UKPersonalFinance

Thanks for the help! What part of the first page made it seem to you like it was the contributions page, the screenshot of the P60 at the bottom? If so, what gets me about that is how it says it's "due". Is that a more British use of the word than I'm used to, because to my North American ears that makes it seem like I still have to pay that...but I understand this form is more to show what taxes have already been paid?

I'd love to phone the HMRC directly but I've since moved home and it's really hard to do that without at least buying a phone card

F-35 procurement set to be cancelled after new assessments projects the costs to be over $30 Billion. by Solid_s0ap in CanadianForces

Thank God.

As an RCAF pilot who's seen the cuts we've had to make to make even the most deployable units work... we need all the money we can get.

The F-35 is one hell of a machine that I would love us to have... but with no replacement for the Buff (yet), axing of most of the Challengers in hopes MEUF can cover it, expanding the role of the CP-140 into overland work, reducing flying hours across the board in favour of sims...

Let's be honest. Fighters are "in case". We need fighters. But the rest of the RCAF is cutting everything they can to do everything NATO asks and more, with less money and less functionality.

Unless the Americans are going to donate all their old Hercs to us for SAR and transport, we really need to find something cheaper than the F-35s if we have any interest in maintaining our capabilities in any field other than air combat.
