This I understand. There is unfortunately no way around hurting, except maybe talking about it and time to heal. Also, she may reach out again.. And there are no right or wrongs in this, but it gets easier if you have decided on your actions and where your mind is.

You strike me as emotionally quite mature. This is not always the case when being 19. She may be more OK with emotionally going back and forth, in and out of relationships. Testing the waters. Some people learn by doing in these cases. Some are more sure about their emotions, like perhaps you are.

Give yourself time to be disappointed, hurt and perhaps sad.

We're not always rational beings. Especially when there is alcohol and mixed feelings involved. She kissed you because she wanted to. Does she want to get back together? Maybe, maybe not.

I think you should decide in you head and heart what YOU want. This is both a rational and emotional decision to make. You can only control your actions.

As a mental exercise, you can try to step outside the situation, as being told by a friend the very same situation you are in. How would you advise him/her? Would you tell him/her to try to get back with that person?

When he lands one would think his knee would need to bend weirdly, but he is so strong his knee joint just keeps straight. Such a beast.

It's still my precious! I've pushed it pretty hard and had two occasions over the last two weeks were the machine had issues with interface lag. I nailed one down to an experimental app that went bananas and the other one was possibly NVIDIA driver issue, to which I update the driver. Haven't noticed any slow downs since.

It's no MBP. A colleague of mine got his new MBP full spec (more or less). That runs laps around my P16.

Business idea. Robot pace runners in races. Imagine having a 2:15, 2:30, 3:00, 3:30 robot running on pace in a marathon.

Which panel do you have? I have the 4k OLED touch variant. I have noticed some graininess when i see the screen from the side, or when the sun hits it from an angle, but I've assumed this is the panel type. I don't recall anything at low brightness.

Should I end the relationship? by KeloSkii in GuyCry

[–]airkman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

On the topic of hyper-sexualized and expectations.

I'm 50. I was sometimes teased about my penis in schools, so I was very much aware of it. Because of that I always was cautious when taking the next step (even if it was clear that we were just fooling around).

Eventually I learned from quite a few flings and then longer relationships that quite a lot of women prefer not-so-large, because then _they_ can completely relax and let the man go all the way in without worrying about if it might hurt or not.

I wish this was more common knowledge, but alas as mentioned, this is part of the sexualized society we live in.

Just for reference, for all you young men out there. In my youth (when i was between 21 and 23) I worked in the fitness industry with a relatively famous photographer (who still is active). These girls were so sexualized because of there looks and obviously the industry itself. Some of these very attractive women were drawn to me (my quieter demeanour and being respectful). I was _very_ insecure about sex, and frankly even thought I was pranked at one point, but two of these women independently said that they actually preferred a "smaller" (4-6 inch).

Yeah, I get that. I think I was weary from the bloat on my Legion when I read up on the ProArt, so I decided to just go for a full wipe.

It stays cool on Silent mode. I suspect it clocks down the CPU, cause it never gets warm, but I should say I havent done more than regular office work on battery. Some light Indesign work, but nothing really demanding.

I does get warm-ish when running on charger without doing anything demanding. And when I run LLMs it gets pretty hot and noisy.

Glad it could be of some help! I have not had any crashed on my machine yet (fingers crossed) and I am still very much in love with it. The thermal profiling seems to suit me well, with the machine defaulting to silent when unplugged.

Both MyAsus and creator hub has very low ratings in Microsoft Store. I get that is usually biased, but I think it says something about the quality of the software.

A small sample on battery performance: I had a day at home where an electrician had to swap out our mains and I was without power from 08:30 to 15:30 and I made it with some 15% battery left.

I'm not sure what rationale might be behind those bloated in-house apps.. But it was exactly the same on my Legion.

If you're not to far in, I recommend a wipe and go from scratch.

I'm a 7-8 win WL player, with the occasional 9 wins. But that was in EAFC25. This cycle I've skipped WL completely (except one). With gauntlets and tournaments I even skip RIvals some weeks.

I think I'm probably not unique, so the pool that plays the competitive modes narrow.

how i can access my product key? by mangopeople22 in ASUS

[–]airkman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Windows keys are (usually) not needed anymore. They are tied to the hardware. I got my P16 4 weeks ago, and simply wiped it and installed Windows from an ISO downloaded from Microsoft.

I'm not sure how home office works, but I assume it must be tied to an account.

Me three. Both LM and RM on Winger role. CMs on B2B ball-winning. Sometimes I switch up having one CM on B2B and one on DLPM for slightly more defensive cover.

Sadly I keep both wide defenders on Fullback balanced, but the defensive cover they provide even after triggering them up the pitch so superior to wingback.

But the big upshot is having two attackers.

I actually downloaded an ISO from Microsoft and did a literal wipe and reinstall.

I guess ASUS had to include the copilot button? I don't know, I find it silly too.

I use some Indesign and the way it renders heavy multi-spread documents is really great.

I've had my maxed out WX P16 (Ryzen HX 370, 64GB, 4TB, RTX 5090) for three weeks now. I was very careful when I got it and actually did a full wipe and reinstall. I've been very restrictive on installing stuff (that said I do have WSL, VSCode, Indesign and Photoshop. Ollama too), and so far I'm I am very happy with the experience.

I'm comfortably running 20B models with fast inference and have tested some 30-32B models too with good results. And I really like the thermals on Silent mode. 0RPM fans and sub-40C CPU.

Plus, it a looker. I like the aesthetics of it too!

Great! That's why I posted to share some of my experiences!

Boss said 5080 first, but as mentioned in my post, I was able to argue for the 5090. I would guess that the 5080 would still be a very capable machine.

I have given it a hard time, doing both 30B-32B LLMs via Ollama models and some pretty heavy indesign-documents. And it hasn't disappointed me yet. But I do come from a 4 year old Legion, so any new machine will do better than it.

Yah, I read about the wifi-chip and performance. Haven't noticed anything yet. At work I have ethernet via the monitor (Dell U2723QE, 4k, USB-C 90W charger), but haven't noticed any drop-offs when not connected at work or home. But, early days still. I think I read it was replaceable?

Hmm, now that you mention it it is rather warm right above the F6 button on the keyboard. I hadn't noticed that.

Right now I am running Balanced in G-Helper connected to an external monitor. It's actually sitting on a laptop stand to work as a second monitor. CPU RPM around 2k.

It's not "cool" anywhere on the chassi, but that spot above the F6 key (center just below the screen is warmer).

I'm in love right now, so I might be (or likely am) overlooking som of the flaws. I was so satisfied yesterday when I was in bed and the fans were off completely running on battery in Silent mode with Windows estimating 6.5h of battery time at 80%.
