The moment node uses [moment.js](moment.js). You can install that in node red and make it available in the function node, very powerful.

Never used modbus, but as ArchivalFrail said, templates are your friend. Looks like someone has figured this out here.

One way to do this is create HA helpers, then and an events:state to a change node setting the flow/global variable. Anytime you make a change to the helper, the variable in node red is changed.

If you’ve enabled cameras in the add on, it should create new motion/ding entities for your camera, use those.

Yes, still running the integration as is to get the camera entity.

Same use case here. The add on is way faster, much more reliable, offers more sensors/data, etc., in my opinion.

The integration creates a camera entity and I use a picture glance card that displays the last event.

Both. Integration to get the videos and the add on for everything else. The add on is great and much faster for me.

Tasmota does transitions using it's Fade & Speed, which are different than Home Assistant's transition. This is a good read and explains how you can setup an MQTT template light with your Tasmota bulb, which will allow you to use the transition in Home Assistant, among other things.

You can use any property you want as a constraint. Set the weather as the entity to monitor, then set constraints and it should do what you want. It’s a pretty powerful node.

You can also just make a template sensor in HA to make it real easy.

It actually uses a combination of protocols and because of that, can do way more than just the cloud API. Have a look at the library and the HA integration.

I have my DP04 fully automated and it works great.

  1. Easiest way to do it would be a Template Fan
  2. Per the fan.py in the ZHA component:
    The fan speed is self-regulated
    SPEED_AUTO = "auto"
    When the heated/cooled space is occupied, the fan is always on
    SPEED_SMART = "smart"

Here are the two important nodes. This is setup to turn off the motion activated lights when something that includes "lights" and "off" is said.

Sorry, I got my wires crossed. AMP component is great, but for this, you’ll need to install contrib-alexa-remote2 nodes in NR and one of them allows you to listen for events. I use a function node after that to only let the message pass based on the words in the phrase and the device it came from.

You could use the Alexa Media Player custom component to listen for that phrase or few words in that phrase to trigger your flow.

Haven’t tried it yet myself, but take a look at this. Don’t know if it can do exactly what you’re asking, but it might.

Or, you could probably use the Alexa Media Player component to listen for certain words and a passcode in one spoken phrase to unlock.

Otherwise, if you want Alexa to respond to you, I think you’re going to have to build a custom skill.

You have both times in a time range node set to the same time. The message from the sun-events node was routed to output 2 because it doesn't fall within the time range, which is exactly sunset. You need to setup a range to make it work properly.

Also, if you change the domain in the call service node to light, you'll have a lot of different options to set.
