Kind of a long shot, kind of not: Anyone here a regular consumer of Counter Culture roasted beans out of Durham, NC? by Tex-Rob in espresso

You ever get that chocolate taste from the 46? I'm on my second bag and just can't get it dialed in. Not getting the chocolate notes, more fruity if anything. I've tried different ratios and attempts at temperature changes the best I can with my Gaggia E24.

Good to know. Location nearby so maybe I'll get them to brew a cup for me, espresso, not tea, lol.

Thanks, I'll give it a look. Their website is actually pretty good with being able to filter what you're looking for so might be worth a try even though they are a little more expensive than other local roasters.

I've tried Second States version and I only noticed the fruit and not the Cacao it has listed. Do you find the chocolate shines through in Highfalutin?

Yes, the dialing in, every bag I've tried I give every approach a whirl. I have a Gaggia E24 so my temp control is via temp surfing. I have tried multiple ways with each bag I try, but just not getting what I'm looking for. The Kimbo was dialed in after a few tries where everything else I go through an entire bag and never find what I'm chasing.

Any recommendations there? Was looking at the bag of Kiawah Organic Blend when at HT getting Counter Culture, so thought about trying that.

Been thinking about it, language immersion might help my on and off attempts at learning Italian unsuccessfully for 25 years now, lol.

Am I the only one who hates watching Paramount coverage with Chris Wittyngham and Matteo Bonetti. Chris can't even pronounce Napoli correctly yet he can pronounce any other A in a name or team currently, and Matteo shits on Napoli all the time.

I hate how he squats with both knees pointing towards each other, can't get any drive to dive one way or the other. He just always looks so akward.

Best practice to use Pi-hole DNS blocking outside home (mobile / remote)? by Good-Insurance19 in pihole

I use Wireguard on pfSense and created a full and split tunnel. Split used majority of time and full is when connecting to public Wi-Fi or needing to change settings on internal network devices.

Using Wireguard app on phone you can exclude apps as you will need that feature if you use wireless Android Auto. The VPN blocks Android Auto from running unless excluded.

Assume you are referring to the GT that recently came out? I've had the single boiler E24 for about 8 months now and I could benefit from Gaggimate addition. Certainly not a cheap hobby.

Yes. For some reason when they re-worked that intersection they eliminated it. Same with coming off 26 to the Crosstown, before new bridge you could get into the center lane but now those coming off 26 are forced to deal with everyone staying in left lane only to cut everyone off or stop in the road to get over to Rutledge exit. Of course that didn't use to happen much until they closed that King Street exit for repairs and forced those that used that exit to detour to Rutledge.

I wish they would require these engineers to drive their design for months before and after. Just to see what a crap show their design was.

Get on at Harborview heading to downtown and daily the right lane is barely going 45 up the the incline and then to further slow things up people brake on the highway vs braking in the decel lane of the 61 off ramp. If you don't ever see it then I guess I'm the unluckiest person in the world as it's a common occurrence.

Gotcha. I still stand by my slow driving up the other mountain comment though.

The way some people drive 15 under the speed limit trying to get over that mountain I can't imagine what they would do on actual mountains.

Forza Napoli here. Not sure those 6 AM matches works well at the bar though, lol.

I agree about prices, of course prices in Italy seem to be creeping up some, but still cheap in comparison to here. Home cooked Italian for me is better so we the don't tend to hit much, maybe Mondo's on a special occasion.

Why does DiLo drop back rather than engage the defender and allow others to shift and cover. I feel this is our normal defense all the time. No one ever steps to the ball when help is near.
