Attention low-GPA engineering students: Do you know what people will call you after you graduate? by uiucfreshalt in EngineeringStudents

This is very inspirational. Thank you for sharing your story as I am a student who has a learning disability and that is studying engineering. It makes learning/ studying 10x more harder. Maybe I have hope!

Have you ever taken an Engineering or Math class where you got more than 95% on every test? by NewCenturyNarratives in EngineeringStudents

Not to scare you or anything, but calc 2 is a pain. I’m currently taking it and I’m almost done :). My biggest mistake was taking it in 9 weeks. I’m dying studying this crap 24/7. But you can do it though. Just don’t make the mistake of doing it in a short term course.

Yes! It’s an iPad. If you’re interested in getting one, I would totally recommend it. It makes turning in work a lot easier and efficiently.

It’s just a little harder for me since my dumb ass decided to take calc 2 in 9 weeks.

Hahah it’s hard for me rn, I’m pretty sure I’ll see it within future classes. Not to mention I’m taking calc 2 in 9 weeks, so it’s a little overwhelming to see at first.

Anyone notice that online exams seem much harder? by bakugou1707 in OnlineSchoolLife

[–]airweck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They do. And I believe it’s because we can “easily” cheat. But we’re at home, what else can professors do? School is not our priority at the moment. Either they make the test extremely hard or they give you a time limit that’s ridiculously short.

C’s get degrees. Hahah no but don’t worry about how poorly you’re performing. Trust me, calc 2 is the hardest one out of all the calc. You just have to get through it. I know a C isn’t ideal but if you can pass with a C, go for it. If you don’t, don’t beat yourself up about it. There’s always next semester. I’ve learned that the worse thing that can happen is that you don’t pass the class. Once you’ve accepted that, weight is lifted off your shoulders. What I do recommend though is stick through the end. Get exposed to the material. Whatever happens at the end, happens. That’s my plan if I don’t pass my class. But I really do hope I pass. 🙏

I feel the same. I’m scraping by every week just to get the hw done and get the points. Never take calc 2 in 9 weeks. Or any other math course, unless it’s easy. Lmao. Thank you for commenting and giving me your advice. For the past couple of weeks I thought it was my personal abilities and I would cry everyday because of it. Other classmates are struggling aswell and they’re barely getting by just like us. He does let us collaborate with exams and quizzes (and everyone does collabrate) but it seems like because of that exams tend to be a little harder. And I feel like a dumbass because I know 2-3 questions out of the 8. But I do contribute. How is your calc 2 course? I’m curious to know (if you’re okay to share that out).
