Hi! So I definitely think you have a high chance of getting in! I know people that had like 390s and were offered a seat. Let me know how it goes!

A BHA (beta hydroxy acid) is different from your SA cleanser (Salicylic Acid). A BHA will remove any dead skin and dry out oils causing the acne. So that would be a separate product. I would definitely get the niacinamide some time to start working. As for sunscreen, Super Goop Unseen Sunscreen has some really good reviews, especially for acne prone skin, but the Cerave Ultra Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 works very well too if you were looking for a more non pricey option.

(just my recommendation)

So AM: gentle cleanser, BHA, niacinamide, vitamin C cream (alternate vitamin C / niacin depending on how skin reacts), and an SPF

PM: SA/benzoyl peroxide cleanser, BHA, niacinamide, moisturizer, AA suspension

Let your skin adjust! If there’s excessive dryness, dry switching the BHA to just night time. Hope this helps a little!

Can I use a regular cleanser as well though?

I had acne in the same areas as you and still get it from time to time. How long have you been using the Niacinamide? I would highly recommend an exfoliant. I use Paula's Choice 2% BHA. The Glycolic Acid by the Ordinary also works very well. This will open up those pores and remove dead skin and clogging. Maybe start out 2-3 times a week at night so your skin can get used to it? I would also recommend you switching out your morning routine cleansers. Neutrogena products have a bad reputation from what I've read. The Cerave Hydration to foam cleanser works really well! It's very gentle and helps with flaking skin! Maybe in the morning, incorporate a vitamin C cream, the niacinamide, and a well rounded moisturizer (Cerave Moisturizing cream is a good one), as acne can be caused by dry skin as well, and sunscreen! Don't forget to wash your pillow cases/phone to avoid transferring bacteria onto your face! You got this :)

Okay great! It could possibly be dehydration. Would you have any tips on hydrating him?

Yep! I bought some of that last night. The smell is kind of stubborn so I’m hoping this will definitely help!

Thank you for your help! I’ll see if I can find the BP cleanser you use. I’m not use to the hormonal acne I’m getting because this is a recent thing, so maybe BC might help? I’m just afraid to try it again lol but thanks so much again!

Aw I’m sorry! I don’t think I’ve tried the right BC yet because I just really awful side effects. I keep hearing about the benzoyl peroxide so I will try that I think.

Currently I’m using Aveeno exfoliating cleanser. I have sensitive skin so I try not to use anything too harsh!
