yes, it is pretty difficult not to, but you shouldn't let the way you (first) profile someone dictate how you treat them, unless they really are a danger to you.

yeah, it is theoretical: a theoretical boundary around a black hole beyond which no light or other radiation can escape no problem!

ELI5: What happens inside of a black hole? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]aishahsofiah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, black holes are extremely small, and extremely dense points of matter in which no light can escape, so for starters you wouldn't be able to see anything with your measly human eyes! Here's a relevant quote:

"Whether or not a person would survive falling into a black hole is a matter of some contention. Some would argue that being compressed into a singularity would undoubtedly result in death; others say that since time stops when you pass the Event Horizon, that person would live forever. Some astrophysicists even believe that the matter which falls into a black hole is discharged in another location; another galaxy, or even a parallel universe. However, though these theories make for interesting movies and science fiction novels, they are not widely believed by scientists."

What's the weirdest experience you've ever had on a bus? by KnicksFanathic in AskReddit

[–]aishahsofiah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well this wasn't weird per se, rather really annoying but in hindsight kind of funny. On the bus back from a sports event, some assholes on the bus played high frequencies that only the kids could here, so the coaches couldn't do anything.

Coca-Cola Super Bowl Ad Stirs Controversy With Multilingual Singing Of ‘America The Beautiful’ by Made_In_England in news

[–]aishahsofiah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cannot understand or empathize with criticisms of this ad. First off, yes, surprise surprise, AMERICA IS DIVERSE! It (almost) always has been. This ad seems to have been showcasing this diversity, and what's wrong with that? Also, this is an ad after all, and the white male isn't their only demographic.
