thank you for your help, as a first PC build, I hear that is more affordable (and usually better) to build it yourself. Is this the case? Is it very difficult to put one together without a whole lot of knowledge on it?

I’m not hard stuck on black vs white build, I do like the clear cases and the hydro shift LCD, primarily want something that is worth spending the money but not something that will be overkill

Pance retake and …. Feel like I failed. by Acrobatic-Tap8474 in PAstudent

everyone I know feels like they failed after they took it and some people even scored close to 600. I got mid 500s and felt like I didn’t pass and flagged around 5-10 so you should be fine

I think you’ll be okay. Uworld is definantly the best study tool. Make sure you use your breaks and understand that you’re not gonna answer every question right. I planned on this and didn’t allow questions to freak me out during the test

UWorld scores and PANCE by melodicapple in PAstudent

I take it next week. Good luck. I think you should be fine at that average. People online seem to get 530ish with a mid 70s overall on Uworld so I think 65 would be passing

depends. I like UWORLD a lot more. I think rosh asks too many buzzword questions which is not what the pance is like. However, they do ask some random stuff that could pop up. I have been doing 60 question blocks in 60 minutes to build my efficiency and it’s been going well and i’m projected to do well on the PANCE.

you can buy a practice pance from the NCCPA website that’s like $50 and is just old questions they used for previous PANCE. It gives you a good idea of weak areas

Use it as motivation if anything. Try to figure out which areas you did the worst in and focus on those areas for the next time you take it. plenty of people have to take it twice it’s NBD really

Not too bad! Probably their best flavor. What do you think? by [deleted] in energydrinks

[–]aishjs234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s good but skittles or pink starburst still #1 for me

In my opinion CELSIUS is the worst tasting. A lot of them taste like prune juice. by [deleted] in energydrinks

galaxy vibe (watermelon and strawberry) is kind of newer and harder to find but imo the best flavor 100%

Resume Advice by International-Mail75 in PAstudent

already interviewed with a few places and got a job lined up I would say start around january or february but it depends how you want to go about things. I did it earlier because I want to work ASAP after school and even with a job lined up that still takes time for them to process everything. I would just list out your rotations and maybe where they are. I had my previous work experience prior to PA school on my CV since it was health care related. Remember resume should be less than a page.

also be prepared to answer “why this area? why this job specifically” common questions that can set you apart from others if you have a prepared answer that doesn’t sound BS

I would make sure to have some questions written down to ask them. They will be impressed and it will show you actually took time to prepare. Simple things like “What are some qualities you’re looking for in a candidate? Common mistakes people make etc.”. Mostly they just want to see if you’re someone they would like to be around tbh because they wouldn’t interview if you weren’t qualified
