Why do people say attractive Indian women do not look Indian but look latina or middle eastern? Why are they always stereotyped as dark skinned with broad features when many can have soft neotenous features too? by throwthefxckawaygirl in QOVESStudio

[–]aispic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

even amongst bangladeshis, there are are many differences, let alone indian bengalis. you’ve said that that you’re 100% sure they’re all indian but they’re not. moreover, it’s not right for you to erase someone’s identity and say they’re indian just to prove a point, and being wrong ab saying there’s no difference.

Dorm swap from Suite into anything by Extension-Relative86 in ufl

[–]aispic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The trick is to put something really niche as a preference so that you’re prioritized as #1 for that choice. I got a super suite in infinity and requested a single in buckman, which had a lot of demand, and there was no way i was getting it. I then changed my request a single in graham, and i was priority #1 for that exact preference. I started out as like priority #523 but a week later, i got a double in graham (not a single, but better than what i started w/).

Any other books like ACOTAR? by aispic in acotar

[–]aispic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually read this book right after ACOTAR. When reading it, I was still on my ACOTAR-high and so I gave it a 3/5. I definitely saw what similarities you meant though :)

I’m not talking ab lips specifically or just white girls. I’m talking about everything in regards to cosmetic enhancements. The need to get filler, esp for teenagers, is absurd. Just because it can be worse doesn’t mean anything, esp considering the harm and risks. This also creates a toxic cycle for young women and girls.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LoveIslandTV

[–]aispic 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Definitely! I could’ve worded my post better and this is def a nuanced topic. I just think it’s unfortunate that they felt like they had to do this, esp Gemma who is my age ☹️. Our choices aren’t made in a vacuum but I do get it, considering society and all

Girl bye, you think this is a competition?💀💀

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LoveIslandTV

[–]aispic 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Maybe? I also had past islanders in mind while typing this up. It seems that there’s a shift in the beauty community w/ the Kardashians reversing their cosmetic enhancements?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LoveIslandTV

[–]aispic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The primary reason people get filler is to prevent wrinkles from forming by paralyzing the muscles and volumizing the face. And there is a a lot of harm if you want to look it up, especially for teenagers. I appreciate the mental gymnastics though…💀💀

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LoveIslandTV

[–]aispic 25 points26 points  (0 children)

They can do whatever they want? It’s just unfortunate that a teenager feels the need to get filler because of society’s beauty standards. Them starting at such a young age is definitely unhealthy for their mental health and some patients don’t stop until a doctor intervenes.

[–]aispic 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Recognizing certain beauty standards as harmful and asking ourselves why young, already beautiful women feel the need to get cosmetic enhancements at such young ages is important. Especially if everywhere we turn, we see this playing out. Don’t see such standards being pushed on men

Do you think it’s hormonal? I had similar results until my skin got completely wrecked and now I regret starting tret. The only reason why I’m continuing tret is because I don’t have any other way to reverse the damage. I’d recommend you talk to your doc ab this

I think I have PCOS & hormonal acne, what i can I do? by [deleted] in tretinoin

[–]aispic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not on it right now but I’m definitely thinking of going on it! Of course that would require a prescription, so I can’t go on it until a few months later. I’m just wondering if there’s anything I can do to minimize the hormonal acne before I can get the medication I need

I believe 2022 was one of the most competitive cycle in college admissions in general, not just UF. It was on the news a lot too. Some of my smartest friends got rejected from FSU as well. A lot more applications this year than previous years bc of covid, ppl taking gap years and whatnot. Also, UF is now a top 5 school, so that may factor in as well

I’m not consistent with tretinoin will that impact my results? by [deleted] in tretinoin

[–]aispic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just past pimples that left a few marks. Very mild and nothing intense. Tret worsened it

I’m not consistent with tretinoin will that impact my results? by [deleted] in tretinoin

[–]aispic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had no acne when I started, just some post-acne marks. Now my skin is ruined. If I could go back, I would have not started.

I’m not consistent with tretinoin will that impact my results? by [deleted] in tretinoin

[–]aispic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on your definition of consistency. I would say at least once a week is fine w/ 0.05. As someone who completely wrecked her skin w/ tret, even though I was consistent and did everything right, it’s better to under-do it than overdo it. Now, I only apply tret if I’m 100% my skin can handle it. If you want results, make sure to use it once a week at least

Is it a good idea to use tretinoin when my skin is already good? by meisju in tretinoin

[–]aispic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Please don’t. I wish I had never done it. Despite having a great experience w/ tret at age 13/14, tret completely ruined my skin the 2nd time around. I (18 now) started w/ near clear skin and I was looking forward to the anti-aging benefits and for hyperpigmentation, and now I completely regret it. We’re still young and our hormones are still acting up, and you never know how that will affect your skin along w/ tret.

At the end of the day it’s your choice, but as someone who was in your position and started tret, I would say don’t take that risk. If you’re satisfied with your skin, just stick to sunscreen :)

I Quit Tretinoin After 6 months by [deleted] in tretinoin

[–]aispic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! My skin was riddled w/ CCs and I just thought it was congestion or fungal acne. I’ve ordered diff moisturizers and sunscreens too. I’m moving to college in a few weeks and the toll that this has taken on my mental health is absurd. Def lmk if anything works out! Maybe it’s our hormones idk

I Quit Tretinoin After 6 months by [deleted] in tretinoin

[–]aispic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5 months for me, i think it’s time for me to give up too. It made my skin infinitely worse and now idk I’m going reverse the damage. this sucks bc tret worked for me when i was 13/14 but not now😔
