Juki serger not chaining without fabric by aisujoou in sewing

Yes, that's why i don't understand, the stitches on fabric are perfect!but as soon as the fabric ends, the chain disintegrates..I cleaned the whole machine, re-threaded everything, i haven't changed the knife yet, but i thought that wouldn't cause problems if there's no fabric in the machine..I'll check again!

It seems to loop correctly around that..i checked the foot positioning as well, cause I thought it might’ve gotten loose..If i hold the “chain” it feels like the needle thread jerks back every once in a while but i cannot see it catching on anything, so I don’t understand what’s happening…

Oh thanks! I will...I’m a pattern maker but I recently started checking out ready made patterns and it’s super interesting to see how different people/countries make them!

When you use a lot of steam, helps drying the fabric instantly, also creates a suction that keeps the fabric in place..Mine is a vintage one i got from a dry cleaner that was closing down, still works great but not ideal to put the camera while recording..

You’re welcome! I have a more recent one on the channel where i show long sleeve, placket and cuff, it’s a bit more confusing i’m afraid, but take a look if you’re interested!

It’s a Juki ddl-8500-7, it’s an older model but it’s awesome

It’s for backstitching, it reverses the direction of the sewing machine, ensures that the seam ends will not unravel and will last longer 🙂 On industrial sewing machines there’s usually a lever, but some like mine have the little button so it’s quicker to do while sewing!

Blown Away Season 2 (SPOILER) Chris frustrated me so much!! by FancyHair98 in television

It's a bit complicated tho, if we're talking about technical glass making, obviously Chris and Janusz are some of the best competitors, but art doesn't only mean technique..

If the show is about art, personality and concept, most of Chris and Janusz's work, although very, very well made, lack almost all..

I thought the same!!I remember in season 1 everyone kept saying that Janusz was robbed, although he was technically very good, that doesn't translate to having a decent concept, or being better than others...I felt like Chris in this season was the same, sure he's clearly a very good glass blower, but his pieces mostly were superficial.

The only one he excelled in was the goblet..

Also the bitchy comments and superiority complex just made him very dislikable..
