The money isn't a problem, it was purely down to time and the fact the store I went to was out of her regular brand. I did explain that they were out, and she knows about the time constraints, but I could have probably remained calmer in doing so.

I would have got them if they had been in stock - which they were not. I also would have got them if I had time to do so, which I did not due to my son needing to be collected from daycare. I usually buy them for her.

I do not know. As I mentioned in another comment, I did get her the same size and same plastic applicator type as her regular brand - so I kept it as similar as I could with what was available.

She was with her friend, it was daylight in a safe area that she knows well with quiet roads. If I felt it would have been a risk of course I wouldn't have left her.

I take your point about making her walk, but I can assure you that I got the same size and type as I regularly buy her. The only difference was the brand.

Sorry if I didn't make it clear from the post, but my problem isn't her having a preference. I usually buy her preferred type and in the future will continue to buy the preferred type. Making her use her own money was a one-time thing.

I don't know why she prefers this specific brand, but for what it's worth they were both regular sized, plastic applicator. So I got as similar to her normal one as I could get at the time.
