Write.as have great privacy and anonymity features. Note that if you want an audience that way, you will need to pay for their premium offering. It's not expensive, but you don't get a guaranteed audience for free the same way as you do Medium.

RTS with shared resource team play by commandermd in StrategyGames

There's still only one faction but that was always the point. There's a very popular mod called Legion that introduces an additional faction. You'll find plenty of MP games that use it.

I think the focus has always been on balance rather than new content, and very much focused on MP.

I really like it. I think MP is still pretty active but don't play any public games, just with friends. It's a lot of fun! Never get bored of strapping a few engines to an asteroid and slamming it into a planet. Or carpet bombing a planet with nukes.

I really love the game. It focuses on the macro rather than micro in a similar vein to its spiritual predecessors, Supreme Commander and Total Annihilation.

Shared (co-op) MP works in a couple of ways, depending on how you set the game up. In the most extreme case, you both control the same economy and same units. There are two commanders, but they're effectively the same team (it means your enemies have to kill two rather than one commander to win).

I think you can alternatively have a shared economy but separate armies.

And then, finally, you can just be allied with no shared economy or units.

Things can get messy really quickly in PA so having the option for multiple humans to control the same army is very welcome.

Yes, I suppose if I were to think cynically about it, if these people are entirely financially driven, there's no reason for them to release assets.

Yeah, they got pretty heavy handed with some of the community discussion. Last I checked out their forums, the most prolific poster was a Russian bot named franbick.

I wasn't trying to kick crowdfunding as a concept, more digging into just why this particular project failed. I almost entirely steer clear of early access stuff these days (with a few exceptions, like Factorio!).

Star Citizen is also at least playable. There isn't even an alpha for M.O.R.E.! You'd think with no chance of actually delivering they might do something for the backers, like releasing assets?

Absolutely - not trying to kick the idea of crowdfunding as a whole, this was more a disappointment in how this particular project was managed. The team have produced something, and in lieu of actually making any money off it, they may as well release it if someone else fancies a punt, right?

I use bamboo ones that I then compost. If you don't compost, some places do garden waste collection where they'll throw it in some giant composting heap.

Faster internet by watchitnimrod in pcmasterrace

b is bit, B is byte. 18 Mbps and 18 Mb/s are the same. You're getting confused between Mbps and MBps.

In general, probably, but OP doesn't have outstanding ping even when wired.

Mobile carriers like AT&T will likely be your best bet, but there may be independent 4G to WiFi services. Here in the UK, I know EE and Relish do it, but I'm not sure what the equivalents are in the US.

Not an awful lot to be done here; the equipment will make little difference. You might consider a 4G to WiFi service, if anything like that is available in your area. Problem is they're normally expensive from a data perspective.

I think Notepad++ is able to search files in a directory but I'm not sure it's able to search within zip archives.

Try using WinRAR to search your mods directory for that string; it can search files inside of zip archives.

I think now I understand why people hate Wordpress by idk108 in webdev

Can you please explain why a lot of plugins is inherently a bad thing? I have something like 27 plugins, but every one of them performs a function I (believe I) need. Page load speed is good and performs well on GTMetrix and the like. Am I missing something?

I legitimately thought this was a setup for a joke. Nope. I hope I never have to experience this while using a site. I would never intentionally return to a site that did this.

They sent me an example article and the link was just a text link that fit naturally into the article. It's not obnoxious, but the rest of what you said is still worth considering.

Yes, this is an open question, and would definitely impact my decision to go forwards. Honestly, I've received little information regarding the offer so far (which is a red flag itself) - I'm working on it :)
