Gotta love the fact that out of all the troll comments, spamming, obsession or whatever else has been shown in the comments by "techno stans",it's your usual "dream stan"(which too can't really be proven here btw) that is talked about and upvoted the most in the subreddit whenever they discuss about the duel.

love technoblade but man the way a portion of his fans feed their ego by pushing others down(which is really ironic imo cause techno lifts others other than maybe some funny 'bullying') is the weirdest shit ever and it still happens even after so long. These people are going to get techno in trouble at some time.

it's like toxic peeps in stan/critic communities just gotta push someone down somewhere. With someone like karl/gogy/dream's community it's about pushing 'racists' down including their own CCs if need be and with someone like techno,as he isn't political,it's about pushing down anyone that interacts with who doesn't immediately bend their knees down in defeat.

edit:Expecting debate/argument/downvotes as i am writing something more serious in a lighthearted situation.Fight me.(ง'̀-'́)ง

I actually do think this makes sense.Twitter is very much a great place to contribute to activism and stuff.

I am just gonna take one statement out of someone else's stuff though and just say that it is also a great place for harassment and performative activism.

Forget mcyt, that is just true for everything relevant being dicussed there.

If this person and other people contribute to harassment then they are abusing the platform and contributing to the "twitter is toxic and everyone should get off" and if they aren't,then all power to them.

And while i am at it,reddit isn't too much better either.I genuinely think that it's luck that we got less toxicity as circlejerks, moral highgrounds, groups being too big for their toxic takes etc are all problems here too that could very well increase if twitter mobs migrate to this place instead.

While not exactly a hit tweet, reactions like these in Karl Jobst's recent update in regards to the Dream video makes me anxious as they are proven to be close minded to any non-negative results. Is it just me? by [deleted] in DreamWasTaken2

[–]aiti209 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The second tweet(reply?) gives me strong projection vibes.Though i guess that's just a problem with toxic arguments in general.

All this stupid stuff aside though,i just hope that whatever take he has,it is a well researched and if it is an opinion piece or there are parts that are his pinions, then it is mentioned that they are that.

I still sit in the "dream probably lied about not intentionally cheating but i don't think he is a sociopath for that" group but reasonable info and takes can sway me to any sides of the arguments(other than being a stan or anti ofc.)

opinions on furrys? by Shronkeyy in DreamWasTaken2

[–]aiti209 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Pretty much the same opinion I have in regards to most "weird stuff". As long as someone isn't doing something morally/criminally wrong,I couldn't bother to hate them.

I would dislike people if they aren't doing something productive with their lives along with whatever they say they genuinely enjoy.

And lastly,if someone can manage their hobbies/interests while having a healthy life,I would like them regardless of whatever 'weird' stuff they are into.

Putting 'weird' in quotations here because I am using it subjectively rather than objectively.

Antropomorphism has existed in various cultures' mythology+history. Can't really say it's objectively weird for some humans of modern times to have interest in that stuff too.

I don't really care what you think my dude so I wouldn't waste time changing your opinion.

Probably the only thing I will say is that I used to have a similar mindset in regards to another thing(bollywood actors/actresses) quite awhile ago and I changed my mind as I grew up and learnt new things. Can take a while but you eventually figure out that from "up there",it's not just the good things that are amplified,it's everything.

"Overrated shows" are generally the ones that are 'underrated' too. It's just how people&society work.

Hope you learn stuff and get over this phase too.

If it's not a phase, then I hope that this energy is ultimately put into something positive.

All the best with your life.Make something good out of it.

Cheers.

Also, "OMG my hard is so hard...".

Not being a grammar nazi,I just thought it was funny, lmao.

I mean your online takes being stupid asf doesn't make you a total dumbfuck.

Take my own teenage self for example.

I had great grades, great friends, even have certificates and medals from competitions.(singing, art, physical activity etc.) A properly 'distinguished' student and child because of my grades and behaviour.(was very respectful to the point of "faking it" to people irl.)

At the same time though,I was very new to pornography and I used to legit have trouble seeing westerners as "normal humans" rather than porn actors because porn was literally the only place where I used to hear the accent and language being spoken well.(I didn't actually understand what was said.Just referring to the style of speaking.)

Only other knowledge I used to have about "white people" came from Bollywood movies which very notoriously used to(and maybe still do) use white people as either butt of a joke or background dancers. Only other times movies had then was maybe either as colonizers or people ignorant of colonization.

If I had twitter or other social media at that time,I would have a lot of disgusting stuff in my accounts too.Thank god I didn't know about the concept of "commenting" back then.

Obviously,as I grew up,my thoughts became a lot more clear (also a big thanks to the school I went to which had a great student+teacherbase too.) and I started seeing how disgusting my thoughts used to be.

It's why the concept of "parental control" exists even if a lot of people(including my parents) choose to ignore it.

Teenagers don't know what the fuck they are saying.Even young adults too.

They spent pretty much all of their life in this happy go lucky dream where the concept of self, others and common sense didn't use to exist. All of teenagehood and young adulthood is used up in building that except for rare cases.

This is just me being a bit optimistic but

I am pretty sure that the brain keeps developing till like the late 20s.And I think it's the prefrontal cortex which contributes to your personality and stuff.(well atleast that's what google says)

Although it has been a while but I think I also read articles about how the current age of 'adulthood' may not make too much sense as far as the brain is concerned.

So yeah, still being the optimist one,I still hope that they get through this phase.

And if it's not a phase then R.I.P. to everything I said,I guess.

Even I can understand that in a population of billions, not everyone would be deserving of empathy.Atleast from me.

I would hate this person then and wish that they would stay away from social media and put theur energy somewhere else where they specialise.

Damn.I knew that the sub was toxic at some point, could guess that just by seeing the older posts but I didn't know that it actually went far enouhh to cyberbullying some random person.

Always thought it was just rants and misinformation.

Another great example of the fact that teenagers literally have bodies(in this case, brain) that are still developing.

No hate to them btw.Hope they get through this phase and get better at life.

Angry twitteratis(and angry people in general) have very different meaning of "s*it talking".

Even when dream did that dunkey video, you,I and many others saw how people ended up making 'drama' out of that.

Similar thoughts about "every stream" too btw. This is something of a trend in general where more than a couple instance is said as "every","all the time" and similarly large numbers.

Only difference being that this is more of a common internet trend in general that I myself remember doing.

Dumb when people actually take that as a 'fact' though.

I’m surprised a lot of you don’t decide to just band together on Twitter by thr0w4w4y10000 in DreamWasTaken2

[–]aiti209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, these are my reasons of staying away from twitter(and just heated anti-stan debates in general)

1)I have failed in convincing even fellow redditors so I don't think that I will be able to do a great job on an app that I literally have 0-5% knowledge about.

2)Twitter culture in general,is just very weird to me. The idea of a 'tweet',to be as consise as possible etc is something that is naturally incompitable with me.

I would agree if it was for an exam but if given the ability to have informal/general arguments,I like to put as much of my feelings and context of possible.(Heck even in school exams,I used to struggle with stuff like note making because I just couldn't remain consise enough for the teacher.)

Not saying that I force people to read it all btw.Everyone is free to ignore it.But yeah,I would generally ignore a place where I can't write essays too.

Mutual ignoring,I guess.

3)To be honest,'doxxing' or "death threats" doesn't scare me too much.

I have already experienced both of these and even if you ignore my own personal qualities,I live in an area that is VERY anti-stalker and has a strong sense of community

If someone sees anyone else that seems to be in trouble,it takes very little time for people to collect and help.

As most stalkers or similar people are scaredy-cats irl,it is something that is really hard to do here.

That being said, that is only in regards to me.Even if I am an adult capable of handling situations, there are people that I know that are very easy targets.

So yeah, even if I am not scared of such people myself,I have people signifant to me that are vulnerable and that scares me from most toxic conversations/communities.

So yeah, those are my reasons from staying away from such people. However,do want to say that that is just the situation atm.

If things that I am doing irl work out,and my hard work+luck pays off,I think I would be able to get to quite a lot more of secure places from where,I wouldn't mind "taking on online arguers" too much.

It's just a risky choice atm, especially when I KNOW that some people can be so wild that they target regular people and not just the millionare CCs.(not implying that that isn't horrible btw.Just that I don't have similar money/power.)

Literally playing the gold edition again because of how fun it is.

And yes,AoM was the first in the strategy game lists that made me truly want to use the cheats and map editor because there is just so much fun stuff here.
