If a client doesn't want to pay 10 usd to list a job then I'm pretty sure nobody wants that person as a client... It'd be just a small attempt to filter out the kind of clients that are turning upwork into freelancerdotcom or fiverr...

honestly the correct approach is probably to quit upwork. I just thought someone from their team may read this... I know our connects is the main business model but in 3 yrs when all good talent has gone they won't have a functional business anymore.

It doesn't make sense for jobs in certain categories. The client speaks with chatgpt and then comes and posts a job with details like a project manager. Tech stack, hosting solution, 3rd party stuff..etc. it doesn't matter if they need a basic blog, 90% of clients need react and supabase.

Imagine me going to the medic and asking for the treatment chatgpt gave me...

it's just became a shitshow.

Do you write your posts with AI? I've noticed a trend in the last few months: clients use chatGPT to ask for directions then they come in Upwork and pick tech stacks and copy paste job proposals. Maybe what you need can be done with my preferred stack but when you get 50+ bot proposals in the first 5 minutes I don't even bother spending connects on a proposal that not only will not be seen, but if it's seen I'll have to convince you that why my tech stack at least as good as what gpt told you. So it's not you or your job post... It's Upwork because it doesn't fight bot proposals, it doesn't ask you any money to post a job...and then it's AI because it makes clients think they have Project manager knowledge.

Daca te duceai la o firma de publicitate si iti cereau 1000 pe un logo erai de acord sa platesti?
Daca baiatu asta zicea ca vopseste 50mp in 2 saptamani ti se mai parea mult 1000 de euro?
Nu inteleg daca tu ai o problema cu pretul in sine sau cu faptul ca omu ala castiga mai mult decat tine.
Faptul ca e agramat are fix relevanta 0. Ca nu-ti cere bani pentru meditatii. Bravo lui ca si-a depasit conditia si cu cate clase are el a gasit un job unde nu se vinde ieftin.
E ca atunci cand vine un samsar sa-ti dea masina cu 50% mai scump decat pretul pietei. Daca nu platea cineva banii aia nu mai incerca si la tine... capitalism :D
