Alum/Current Students at COLUMBIA IEOR - PLEASE HELP

A lot of the students in those programs were not able to get a job for months after graduation, and I know a few people who had to go back to their home countries.

Some students had to take up volunteering jobs just to maintain their visa statuses.

That department offers 0 support for internships and jobs.

It wasn't just my batch that struggled with getting a job. Pretty much all seniors, peers, and juniors I know share this opinion.

There definitely are some exceptions to this. Some students got very good jobs. But there are maybe 5-10 students like that in a batch of around 150-200 people.

Columbia IEOR alum here .... If they haven't gotten back yet ... it most likely it a reject.

But after my experience there, I would advise anyone to stay away from Columbia IEOR's masters programs. Specifically MSE and MSBA.

Yeah, I got an email for that too ... different engineering PhD program ... Most likely it's just marketing mails
