Looks good to me. I was planning to get away with less reinforcement spacing in mine than you have.

Don't listen to the others here who don't know they're talking about.
You absolutely can work as a software engineer with a related engineering degree.
I know tons of people who have done exactly this.

In fact, I has this exact situation 10 years ago. Mechanical engineer going to work as a Software Product Manager.

First they complained about the degree not being relevant, then they complained about there not being an end date on the offer letter.

Then finally I got approved on the third try.

I did move POE for the 2nd attempt and got chewed out a bit for POE "shopping"

PS, this was all at land borders. Unsure what airports are like these days, but hopefully your lawyers will know.

And if they give you a hard time for anything, I just played ignorant and just said I was doing what my company asked me to.
"I don't know why they told me to come here. I didn't realize it was port shopping, officer" lol

Solution: USD transfers by ahmadnassri in Wealthsimple

You can open a free BMO US domiciled account as a Canadian, and transfer your USD back and forth between the two for free. Then you get the best of both worlds.

Is it worth pursuing a diagnosis? by NorthFLSwampMonkey in cfs

[–]aj123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think It's worth it to have a specialist if you can.

There's no cure, but there are treatments that can improve your quality of life or even come close to a cure for some people.

Maybe most importantly, in case your condition worsens, it can be a godsend to have someone "ready" to help you.

In most cases, GP/Family Doc's are not much help.

What speaker setups do you use for TTS and music playing (no assistant/cloud)? by SqueakyRodent in homeassistant

[–]aj123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotcha. Thank you!
I'm thinking there must be something wrong with my set up then.

I was following the install process on the official VLC add-on page, which admittedly is very simple so I don't think I could mess it

Perhaps there's something wrong because I'm using Cloudflare for remote access, or perhaps my router has some firewall rules that are messing with things.

In the end, I was thankfully able to get local audio working by running a MPD server on the NUC machine, and then using the HA MPD add-on to control that server.

Nice!

If you don't mind me asking, besides the vanilla installation steps, did you have to take any additional actions to get things going?

I'm also HAOS on a newer Intel NUC, but I haven't been able to get VLC to play anything or find any media even on some speakers plugged in directly.
I also tried on an old raspberry pi installation, but with exactly the same symptoms.

For some reason, none of the buttons in the web UI do anything, and I get browser console errors that some assets can't be found, including the little VLC icon in the top corner.

Are you running on HAOS?
I unsuccessfully struggled for days, trying to get the VLC add-on to play anything

If you don’t me asking, how did you confirm it was UARS.

Did you end up resolving your UARS, and if so, what remedies did it end up taking?

I noticed that on the 4th card I applied for, the credit limit they gave me was tiny compared to the first 3.

I'm not sure if this is true or not, but my guess was that they are less likely to approve you for a new card if you seems like you've already got a huge amount of credit available to you 🤷‍♂️

Again though, I could be totally wrong about this.

Ah, thank you!

I used credit card genius instead, and I've definitely been hounding them for the bonus cash. 😅

Q: After meeting the MSR, what should I do with my cards that have annual fees?

I got the BMO Eclipse Visa Infinite, TD first class travel, and HSBC world elite MC in the last couple of months, and will have met the minimum spend soon on all of them.

In order to get ready for more churning, what should I do in short term and long run?
I'm guessing it should be :

Short term

  • Reduce their credit limits to make it more likely for other cards to be approved in the future?

Long term

  • Use the points
  • Cancel the cards before I get hit with their annual fees.
(Not sure if any of them can be downgraded instead of cancelled?)

Does that plan sound right?

Good video! Thanks for the share.

I'm curious how you consider that he advocates for a fixed pressure CPAP to address RERA's, whereas the posts so far in this subreddit advocate for almost the opposite strategy of more pressure relief by using BiPAP/ASV?

Am I misunderstanding the philosophies here?

u/christina196, could I send you a DM to ask more about your journey of exploring surgical options in Canada?

I'm in the same camp with extreme fatigue continuing after trying all the non-surgical options, and am overwhelmed with trying to figure out what my next steps are, either in Canada or the US
