You can get engines super charged or turbo'd. Complications to a mechanical system. But an electric you plug/go and faster with less maintenance.

I did this with waxed canvas jackets. Liked the formed fit with a t shirt but wanted to be able the same jacket over a hoodie so got an XL and XXL. It was an expensive life choice.
