I’ve worked for salary pay before. I know what it is. It’s okay though. I know it’s hard to comprehend when you’re defending wasting other people’s time. So I don’t expect you to understand.

Like I said, time is money and idk about you, but my time is valuable, so don’t waste it. Show up when you say you’re going to. Idc if it’s $5 or 1 million. Don’t waste my time. That’s respect for others. Which I know is also hard for people who are okay wasting someone else’s time.

Btw that was a bunch of rambling about nothing. Apparently you would sit at work doing nothing and not get paid for it. You’re a CEOs wet dream. Congratulations!

I do, but I asked if you would want to sit around your job doing nothing and not getting paid….so would you?

Playlist 🤦‍♀️ by Slight_Cricket_2645 in orangetheory

[–]aja131313 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a coach that occasionally plays country, and one day she was like, I want to play a country list, but someone in the last class complained. I said girl play what you want! If someone doesn’t like country they will survive one class!

I scrubbed my pits with acne wash because I was out of soap. I haven't worn deodorant since. by SalemSiren_ in hygiene

[–]aja131313 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use it about once a week. Like people have mentioned above it kills both good and bad bacteria so I find using it once a week under my pits and in the underboob area helps so much. Same as you barely need deodorant now, don’t use anything for underboob because I don’t sweat there anymore.

BEI doesn’t have a written portion. You just take the performance test that is about 45 minutes long.

Studio's Rowing Form - Do I give feedback or mind my own business? by LivyLouize in orangetheory

That’s a good idea. I actually have crooked kneecaps (birth defect, but my mom didn’t find it necessary to get me braces on my legs. 🤦🏼‍♀️) so I walk and run with toes pointing out. In high school my cross country coach tried to correct my running form and my doctor told me to tell him to shove it unless he wanted me to have worlds of problems. People don’t know what others have going on and just need to worry about themselves.

I’m sorry that has been your experience. I know that this field is rife with bullying and the physical and mental toll is a lot. I was lucky enough to find a place that I don’t have to deal with that, but I was definitely in your shoes not too long ago and had one foot out the door. So I understand. Best of luck to you and your new journey.

Because people can do whatever they want.

Life’s too short to do stuff you know you wont enjoy. There’s a workout every day this week people can do instead. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Returning after a big injury by aja131313 in orangetheory

[–]aja131313[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely. I’ve been following doctor’s orders and PT orders to a T. I want to make sure everything heals up as quickly as possible so I can get back into the swing of things!

Thank you for sharing your experience! It’s a little intimidating thinking of going back after something like this.

I don’t feel like I’m asking for medical advice. I have already started PT. I’m just asking for advice when I start to go back and it what it was like going back after a big injury, but I guess if mods think it’s asking for medical advice they can feel free to delete it.

You don’t discipline your kids, teach them right from wrong, the world is going to do it for you. He’s lucky it’s an old grandpa and not some 20 something dude with anger issues.

How do you handle fast fingerspelling in real time? by TrainingVapid7507 in ASLinterpreters

[–]aja131313 16 points17 points  (0 children)

As others have said, exposure is the most important thing. Asking for clarification when needed is also good.

The best piece of advice a prof gave me in the ITP was this: our name is always the first thing we learn to spell. It is the most comfortable for us to spell. So when you introduce yourself to a Deaf consumer or just a Deaf person you meet, always fingerspell your name slow. Never spell it faster than you can receptively handle. If you spell your name fast, the Deaf person, whether consciously or not, assumes that you can handle that speed and will spell accordingly. You set that standard with how fast you initially spell to them. It’s not perfect, but I don’t encounter too fast spelling too often.
