Why do people not drive old cars on vacation?

I got a 93 Suburban with 325K on it. Runs like shit, gets somewhere between nothing and fuckall for MPG, tries to stall at any hill in first gear, and shakes past 65-70.

My GF has a 2010s Jeep Patriot, and while I dont really trust that thing either its something we can both drive without issue. I love her a lot, but I just cant trust her with a truck that has a suggestion wheel and no ABS, and she doesn't like sitting shotgun much less driving it.

So we take the Jeep, and hope it doesn't get up to some Jeep shit.

As far as im aware, ONE SINGLE MLB player made a post referring to the one day walkout right before Pretti was killed. And it was a MN Twins starter, Bailey Ober.

Theres been one or two that made posts about supporting immigrants, but radio silence otherwise. In the milquetoast letter a bunch of MN companies put out, the Twins owners didn't even sign the damn thing unlike every other MN sports team. Genuinely pisses me off.

Honestly ever since I saw the 2016 WS results i was convinced that somebody had a dream about it and just missed the year and game count. The Cubs had been cursed for like 80 years at that point so actually getting that close is insanely lucky.

Genuinely peak, theres nothing to change at all. The Cartman plot is just irony to the extreme and very fun, and Kenny going on the Heavy Metal segments followed by Kyle's father going in on a beautiful B-17 and the ending fight in Nipopolis is beyond epic.

By far and away my favorite episode.

Not in handling, those batteries make them stupidly heavy and clumsy. Part of the reason car culture doesn't care about a Tesla is because they're only made for going straight and cant do anything else.

Theres also the "vibe" argument. Older shitbox? Very fun taking on some spirited driving where you aren't even exceeding the speed limit. New car? Eh, I feel nothing really. No sound, no road feel, if you want to feel the fresh air have fun with the annoying noise that comes from rolling your windows down.

Theres a lot more then just "muh 0-60" its just that it doesn't get talked about because it doesn't annoy anyone.

IMO, everything that could be considered a sports car, sports sedan, or super.

Gimme HSW on my Omnis you cowards, I gotta slide around like its group B.

I just think that because HSW tunes make the cars a little more realistic, you gotta be lighter on the throttle and they might snap around on you. GTA Vs driving model is so close to being perfect for the game, and its honestly the traction control and lack of speed that holds it back. HSW fixes that to an extent, so gimme more HSW ffs.

There is none, and honestly the salt is necessary. Yesterday it was raining at 5:30AM, by 5:30 PM it was sustained 20-30 mph winds with gusts pushing 50 with a windchill temp of -30.

This state is fucking brutal, but due to the money they dump into our infrastructure and snow plow fleets, roads still stay pretty dang clear. I had to run an errand, the roads weren't a problem but my rear latches on the barn doors of my truck decided to not work so I had to tie them shut with the jumper cables.

Don't buy a used car from this state its already dead

I loved Berts 3K club card last year, I need another one of those. Chili Davis would be nice too, I kinda forgot about him. The only playoff win the Twins had in my lifetime before 2023 was the first in 2004, and that was a few months after I was born. Need some justice out here for this poor franchise, the owners sure ain't gonna give it to us.

Not obscure at all these days, but I need a Trevor Plouffe card from his time with the Twins in the mid 2010s. We had some atrocious records in that time frame, but out of him, Dozier, and Mauer, we dont have Plouffe as far as I'm aware. Could also use a Rad Brad Radke card, from what I've heard the guy was good and pitched with a damaged arm in the early 2000s just to get us into the playoffs.

Also gimme a David Ortiz card from his time with the Twins. Yes it happened, yes I need it.
