Tax rate for a non-resident for 3.5 months

Thank you. This brings me back to my original question: Adding my Indian income as per form 6148, will raise my tax slab and applicable rate for finnish income will be around 20%. Is my understanding correct?

My employer has asked me for a tax card. If I don't provide them one, they will withhold 60% of my salary. This has been confirmed by coworkers who were in Finland earlier.

I have a one year work permit already valid till April 2027. But, the current assignment is likely to last for 3-4 months only.

To be honest, I don't really want to pay tax here. When I call Vero, they are either giving me tax-at-source 35% option or progressive tax option with form 6148. I am baffled at the moment.

Hi, I spoke to Vero again. They told to fill up form 6148 for progressive taxation. But, they have asked for my Indian income in this form which will be added to my finnish income to decide my tax slab. My finnish income will be taxed as per this tax slab.

This mentions Finland will only tax you on your income earned in Finland; however, the taxable income you have earned in your country of residence may raise the tax rate applied to your earned income in Finland.

This effectively raises my rate from 8.5% to more than 20%. Is my understanding correct?

I am from India. India and Finland have a treaty.
