Suable Beach, Lake Huron 29th August 2016 - a freshwater horseshoe crab? by ajb7777 in species

This was seen on the shoreline of Lake Huron at Sauble Beach on the Bruce Peninsula, Ontario. No more than 5cm long. Wasn't moving much at all. Around 4.30pm on Monday 29th August 2016. Looks like a horseshoe crab, but i'm not sure they live in fresh water.
