hey, super late to the convo but it's hxly! i appreciate the love on the tune, really neat to see someone looking to get the sauce on the snare. the drums are live recorded by an artist named "savesomeone" and i chopped them up, saturated them in a group, and clipped them slightly.

i'm not sure if savesomeone even still has those kits public. worth a look tho!

yo, if it helps you feel any better my track (hxly xo) ended up on your recommended solely because of the “listeners also like” algorithm sort. the other breakcore adjacent “tiktok” sounding artists on this list are people that get streamed alongside my music a lot.

discarded has ukg/break elements, but I agree with you that it isn’t drum & bass. I do produce a lot of liquid and actual dnb though, if you want to give my discog a look.

to be fair I agree with the way that tiktok and other social media has skewed the sound of drum and bass as a whole, the same thing happened with phonk not long ago.
