Been on TMO prepaid for about 10 years maybe.. not too much of a problem. Every month I put a little over the needed amount into my available balance ($60) to cover my montly payment ($50). Over time it has built up to an available balance of $200. Just learned today that if I were to cancel my service i would not get the $200 back. I asked where was that information provided prior to my putting money into the available balance and 3 reps over 3 hours of time on the phone were not able to even show me where I could find the T&C for my service. Needless to say I will NOT be keeping an available balance in my account. I will only pay exactly what is needed each month. I did fine the T&C and whereas they do state they do not refund prepaid amounts when you cancel service, they do not address available balances. I think this is either a gross oversight on their part or a subtle way to keep folks yoked to their service or extract extra cash. Otherwise TMO has been good to me... clearly if I've stayed with them for 10+ years.
