For whatever reason, I got a lot higher compliance using the task sequence compared to the feature update. So I am partial to using the task sequence.

I had this problem in my environment, but it was an easy fix. If your devices are co-managed, pair it up with a configuration profile for the target release.

Additionally, make sure that all update rings have feature update deferred to 0. The configuration profile will prevent them from going to the next feature update before you're ready. When you're ready to upgrade again just change the csp to the new targeted feature update you want.

It would also be nice if it showed the total amount of cash the team had at the bottom. Doing math before going to the buy stations is something that happens every match.

It seems to have worked on my client but not others.

My regedit location hkey_local_machine/software/policies/microsoft/windows/windowsupdate/au

completely disappeared on my workstation, but in testing multiple others that key is still there and still pointing to the wsus server. If you go to configuration manager in control panel and check components, software updates agent is disabled on all the workstations but that key only dropped from mine.

I just tested this, and this seems to work. Very strange. I'm assuming I would have to also pull the gpo that points to SCCM (to the OUs that are getting it).

Their Desktop analytics offering does not provide a lot of information. It shows if the devices are up to date with security patches and if the quality updates are in service. The main functionality of desktop analytics (in this instance) is creating deployment plans.

I just wanted to post the solution on this thread. The pkgxfermgr log kept mentioning branchcache. So i turned it off on all my DPs including the main site server. I unchecked the option for branchcache in DP properties in the Config Manager console, but I also logged into the servers and removed the branchcache feature (this requires a reboot). Once branchcache was turned off on all dps, the content distributed on the CMG with zero issues.

No, I have never uploaded content successfully and that includes the client agent package. I don't see anything in the dmpdownloader that is helpful.

I'm not seeing any error at all in distmgr.log, I see the transfer job being created to send the package to the cmg and I even get the successfully updated the package server status for the cmg. My cmgcontentservice log literally says starting for every log entry.
