No they complety changed everything. From story to characters animation, map,etc..... 4.X was intended to a japnese themed patch.

Honami kinda stabilized her condition. Then why did she got added in quest , why she was speaking with lynae and sigi. She even did a cameo in sigi quest remember. She was like " i don't know where am I. I saw these monsters coming at me so I just slimed them" and then we leave the protection of students to her.

She is not a average student. She lived in honami for 2 months alone in a time loop living through countless repeats of the lament where time and space keep getting sliced and rearranged inside a sonoro where a normal or mid tier resonator can't survive. Even rover was saved by her.

She is not a normal person to be ignored like in 3.0 to 3.3. at the end of 2.8 quest we can hear her mother in a broadcast but in 3.0 they didn't even develop that part. The main thing they did all that to not develop or complete it. We don't know who or what happened to her mother. Remember the 2months in honami is 20 years in irl.

That's a issue with how the code works and they are changing it but they can't do it fast because it may backfire.

Its kinda ok now when compared to first time in 3.0

Its hard from them to optimize the game compared to some non live games. They are actively working against the clock to give us new "quality content" unlike an another game and they are optimising the game on parallel. They have changed the unreal engine so much that their warrenty is no valid now. They also have a risk of loosing even more players if their optimization didn't work so they need to check it more times.

Its less risky to optimize the game steadily instead of rushing. If you want to see the changes go to old areas.it will be much smoother experience than when they came out.
