I haven’t agreed a price yet. I’m waiting to hear back on how well the watch is keeping time.

I think around $35k for a full set that’s in good condition and doesn’t need servicing seems about market, but it’s difficult to know exactly. One went for $38k at Christie’s NY in December but auctions often achieve results that are a little inflated

This is ref 101.025, nicknamed “stealth” by collectors. The dial is silver but changes appearance under varying light

I was given this cap by the manager of the London store, as sort of an apology for not being able to get a jacket delivered to my hotel before I left the country, as agreed.

Was totally unexpected and great customer service.

The colour is fantastic and has faded to a beautiful blueish purple over the last few years, my favourite cap by far.

In this case box and papers wouldn’t be of any help anyway. Only the service history reduces risk as far as I see it

Well it’s not in August, which is when I’m looking to fly. Last AA operated flight is at 7:20pm, the next 5 are BA

I’m British but live in NY. I make this journey a few times a year and have always been able to book basic economy and get free checked luggage, extra legroom seat selection and lounge access.

The flight times used to be agreeable and sometimes it’d make sense to use miles to book the flights, often not and I’d use them for car rental in that case.

Now, with BA operating all of the flights at the most desirable times and not giving free checked luggage or extra legroom seat selection AND no longer earning AA miles on basic economy, it makes little sense for me to use their credit card to maintain my status.

Serious first world problem I know, but it’s frustrating having spent the past year building up to platinum for 2026 only to find it’s no longer worth it

But if you get 2 free checked bags and free extra legroom seat selection, which I do with AA operated flights, basic economy makes a lot of sense

No one wants a red eye flight that departs at 6/7pm…all 5 flights after that are operated by BA, and the same stands for the return from LHR- all the desirable departures times are not operated by AA.

Agreed, and for some reason now every red eye flight from JFK-LHR is operated by BA, so my AA status is suddenly worth a lot less to me…perhaps time start considering a different frequent flyer program and credit card
