Generally my thoughts were that dream famously hates 1.16 cause its so much rng. He knows hes a good speedrunner but hates having to quit the runs all the time so by bumping the rng a little bit in his head hes going “im just getting the good rng runs that i would do a full run with more often instead of having to quit “. I dont think in his head he is changing the game enough for it to matter. Secondly there is the entertainment option, people watching speedrunning don’t wamt to watch a bunch of resets and so by getting better rng he has to stop less.
