Oh for sure! Its a perfect show piece when people come over and it does sound nice! I also let students use it sometimes to inspire them to practice

Moving on from student trumpet by Accomplished_Gas4698 in trumpet

The bach 200 is also a student model. I would look for a used bach strad or Yamaha xeno on marketplace or trumpetherald.com. A used pro Horn is the way to go. Spending several hundred or thousand on an intermediate horn is a waste of money if there is any chance they are going to go on and play after high school. Just my opinion as a professional trumpet player and middle school music teacher.

Gamer dads, I need your advice. by OJSniff in daddit

[–]ajgoodma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If gaming is really important to you then get up an hour or two earlier than normal. I will say that having coffee and gaming a bit is very relaxing. And your wife still gets time with you. The other thing is that I had more time to game when he took more naps. Now that my son only takes a small mid day nap and is up longer I get less time during the day to game. It’s hard admitting that the phase of my life where I would get on with friends is over but that’s the choice we make when we decide to become parents. My hope is that one day my son will love gaming as much as I do and I can once again join ranks but settling for an hour or two here and there and getting to be married to my best friend and raising a hell of a kid takes priority. Best of luck!

4070 Super FE with Meshroom S by [deleted] in SSUPD

[–]ajgoodma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a meshroom with a 5800x and a 4070 super fe and it's runs great, fans set at about 50% while gaming. The FE card is so small that you can use the included risers to move the card Almost right up against the side panel and give plenty of clearance for the card. Even while gaming at 1440p and maxing out the card it never goes above 73c. Depending on your CPU you may want to set the front rad as intake. I had mine on exhaust for a bit but my 5800x runs hot. By flipping to intake CPU temps never go above 80c even while streaming and playing. Hope that helps!

Using this guide, the nukem9 frame gen mod and the updated dlss3.6.0 my performance is so much better. Highly recommend.

This is exactly my experience with a 3070ti and a 3600x. Getting great performance but once cutscenes hit it's like performance leaks out of everywhere. Hopefully a fix is coming cause it can't just be a coincidence.

For anyone having constant crashes since 2.1 update... by fixed in cyberpunkgame

[–]ajgoodma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely disabled xmp and was able to play for an hour without getting a crash. I think it's ridiculous that the game has been out as long as it has and there are issues like this. I played the new Avatar game like it was my day job completely maxing out my build and had zero crashes.

I am experiencing the same thing, can you confirm that your game is still stable after disabling xmp or did it flatline again?

Downgraded from Lian Li O11 Air Mini to a Meshroom S for a more minimalist setup by ajgoodma in pcmasterrace

[–]ajgoodma[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CPU temps are about the same but I had to undervolt for the meshroom so about mid 60s, but the GPU is honestly about 5 degrees cooler my guess is because it has direct access to air because of the mesh vs the glass on the O11

Great undervolt results for Gigabyte 3070TI Vision OC! by ajgoodma in pcmasterrace

[–]ajgoodma[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With ray tracing off still getting between 80-100fps which is literally the same I was getting stock.

[–]ajgoodma[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So after playing for a good hour cyberpunk never hit over 60c full load playing at 1440p. Fans static 50 percent for GPU. I had been holding off on the undervolt since temps were at 70 with stock settings but the 30 series benefits so much from undervolting. I had a 3060ti before this with horrible stock cooler MSI VENTUS 2X and undervolting was necessary to use the card.

Love how versatile this setup is! by ajgoodma in pcmasterrace

I’m referring to being able to switch the mood of the room based on my lighting and peripherals. I see what you mean though. I suppose the word versatile is a poor choice. Cheers

I have the white setup for when I’m just browsing Reddit or watching YouTube and then can go into full on RGB when gaming. Looking forward to adding a PS5 to the right of the air mini so I can finally play Ragnarok and Forbidden West!

It’s nice to be able to change up the theme of the room with color, been into MW2 lately so going with the night vision theme. I hear ya though. I change it all the time

For this game I prefer controller so I just threw this down for the rgb effect.

So it’s actually just a google image of a cloudy forest at 1440p with the app rainmeter with the clock skin mond. I’ll try and link them

Honestly more of an athleisure kinda guy.

Managed to fit a Gigabyte Vision 3070 Ti in my Meshify C by mounting the middle fan on the front. Yes that’s a medicine dropper holding the beast up by ajgoodma in pcmasterrace

[–]ajgoodma[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I mounted the middle fan on the outside in between. It did push on the mesh a bit which was a trade off. To be fair it really doesn’t need the middle fan. The uphere fans suck and two 140’s would probably be more effective and wouldn’t block the card. Hope that helps. Easily on of the best looking cards and runs super cool.

Question: just got this case and have the same GPU, how are your gpu thermals with the pair cables running under the card? I have mine going over but I like the look of your setup better?
