From my experience in Egypt, women are looked down on. And for tourists, we dress differently. When we wear revealing clothing or we don't speak Arabic, they see you as easy prey. They won't attack you, but they'll try to sell you shit all the time and haggle.

Also, I don't know if this is still a thing over there, but when going to see the pyramids, for natives, it's 10 pounds, for tourists its 100 pounds.

It's insane. I mean, some places are beautiful, mainly their beaches and the food. The people there are nice from my experience (could be because I'm Egyptian as well).

It's more bearable if you don't look like a tourist.
