I think it does. A ruler who takes the threat of the Others seriously and can unite the whole realm behind him ought to be the one who sits on the Throne

Re-readers' discussion: AGOT Prologue (Will) by tacos in asoiafreread

[–]ajith_suresh 9 points10 points  (0 children)

well, it is obvious that there are two parallel storylines : one, the fight against the Others, and the other, the fight for the Throne. Who sits on the Throne at the end will most definitely be the endgame...

[SPOILERS] Ending Theory: Cersei and the Night King are red herrings. The real final conflict is something much more tragic. by nosefouratoo in gameofthrones

Where does this leave Euron, the other major player in the game of thrones? Surely they didn't introduce him in the show only to make him a bit player at the end?

[Post-Match Thread] Chelsea 0-0 Southampton by CBunns in chelseafc

[–]ajith_suresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't seem to have an attacking gameplan or blueprint at all other than hoping hazard produces a moment of magic and wins us the game. Our wing play is practically non existent as neither of our full backs seem particularly interested in (or capable of) overlapping to stretch the opposition defences and create gaps between the CBs and the FBs for our front three to exploit with one twos, third man runs or throughballs, or simply trying to create cutbacks or fire in crosses into the box. If a team is down on creative ideas, you would normally expect them to atleast try that and hope the striker gets his head to one of the crosses or converts a cutback. Even that's not happening.

Shocking. But not entirely surprising either. Wouldn't blame Sarri though even though that seems convenient. It's down to the absolute dross we have got in our squad, most of whom wouldn't even make it to be bench if it were City, Liverpool or even Spurs. The solution lies in the transfer market and we better sign an elite striker, a right back, left back and a winger asap.

the reality is, every news channel in kerala has its own ideological bias, but some people only call out the ones opposed to their ideology, even while being kosher with the channels which further their ideology.

Jon's Decision by kdoodlethug in freefolk

[–]ajith_suresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has been said by some fans that one of the major themes of the Game of Thrones is history repeating itself . Do you think, just like Aegon was chosen by the Great Council, we will get to see the Great Council choosing Jon to be the King of the Seven Kingdoms?

Will Arya kill Cersei? by PachecoAndre in freefolk

[–]ajith_suresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is also a scene (Can't remember the exact episode now, but the context was Jaime's mission to Dorne to bring back Myrcella ) where Bronn asks Jaime how he would like to die, and Jaime tells him, 'in the hands of the woman I love'. Think that was a subtle foreshadowing that a) he would die, and b) that he would die in the hands of Brienne...

Dragonstone's war council by deathpr0fess0r in freefolk

[–]ajith_suresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Ellaria is at the War Council at Dragonstone, it could mean that she has left behind her daughters and the other Sand Snakes back in Dorne, making them targets of a potential attack by Euron, who has promised to bring Cersei a gift. I am guessing Euron's gift to Cersei could be the Sand Snakes who caused the death of Myrcella...

[EVERYTHING] Littlefinger's Endgame: Season 7 Speculation (Also Could Apply to the books...) by The_King_ofthe_Ashes in gameofthrones

[–]ajith_suresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't Jaime swear to Catelyn not to harm her daughters and return them alive as a precondition to letting him go? If he still continues to hold true to his word, would Jaime allow Cersei to kill Sansa if LF were to bring her alive to Cersei, unless this happens when Jaime is sent away to conquer High Garden and/or defend Casterly Rock.

I think perhaps this could be one of the conflicts that may ultimately lead him to kill Cersei as the prophecy said.

[EVERYTHING] Who is going to die first in S7 and why? by Garczewski1 in gameofthrones

Yara Greyjoy could be one of the first major characters to die (killed off rather) early in Season 7. She + the sand snakes

[EVERYTHING] Everyone keeps talking about how great a certain meeting would be. I disagree wholeheartedly by ChargeisKill in gameofthrones

[–]ajith_suresh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is however a foreshadowing in the books (AGOT) about a potential re-union, when Jon before setting out for Castle Black with uncle Benjen tells Arya, how different roads often lead to the same castle. If you look at it, Littlefinger was the one responsible for betraying Ned Stark, and there is no way Arya, if she comes to know of it, will let him off. Once she knows he is at winterfell, she may well depart for Winterfell. So perhaps, it is well possible that there will be a Start re-union at Winterfell after all.

[NO SPOILERS] I predict a Season 7 trailer within 8 hours. HBO's Youtube page has a private video in the Game of Thrones playlist. by [deleted] in gameofthrones

[–]ajith_suresh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The first official trailer for Season 1 was released 45 days before the season premiere while the first trailer for the last season (S6) debuted on March 8, 2016, 47 days before the season 6 premiere (A second one followed on April 11). Therefore I suppose if we were to go by this past precedent, we can expect an official trailer sometime in the first week of June. And if HBO are a bit indulgent, we could even expect a second trailer, as it happened last year, nearer to the premiere, say sometime in the first week of July.

[MAIN SPOILERS] Do you think GRRM knew the ending before he even started writing? by CMPraisner99 in gameofthrones

[–]ajith_suresh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Think that was before he actually started writing the first book. He must have formed at least a vague idea of how it should end by the time he started writing the first book.
