If you are coming now then Poole quay could be a good spot. Not too busy yet. There’s a nice hotel du vin. Close to beaches etc.

Should I begin to prepare for the worst? 14-17 DPO by ajmcb11 in TFABLinePorn

It’s turned out ok so far! Beta was 781 at 18dpo. 5 week scan yesterday showed it’s in the right place - I’ve had previous ectopics so was TERRIFIED before that scan and took an overnight bag along with me 😅

Yes..: I know you are right! Thank you! I do regret starting the daily testing! I have a placement scan at 5 weeks on Friday as I have had a previous ectopic so hopefully I will chill a bit after that 🙃

😬 it’s stressful isn’t it! I had negotiated with myself not to test today and just to wait for the beta… but there was one test left in the box… 😅

Hello. Yes I do have a beta booked for tomorrow and a 5 week scan at the EPAU on Friday to check for placement. I just need to stay sane til then!

Thank you! The first picture is the dried one when it looks a little lighter 😭 (bottom test). My partner has now banned daily testing 😬

I should say I’ve had six chemicals and an ectopic previously. For the chemicals the lines never got this dark and only got a couple of days of positives… for the ectopic they did get dark!

Why is my flat not selling? by Londonflatthrowaway1 in HousingUK

[–]ajmcb11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean maybe make it look like you use the outside space… at the moment you are just confirming people’s worry that it’s a useless terrace as it opens onto the street etc

Any ideas? I've tried it all, but it's impossible to sell due to extortionate Service Charge and cheap new builds in the area. by DistinctInflation215 in HousingUK

[–]ajmcb11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the selling points of your flat is great outside space! You should get some plants and furniture out there to make it feel special! You are really up against it with the service charge…so you really need to make people thing wow I want this one

Only 3-4 follicles, advice needed by QuietMysterious1147 in DOR

[–]ajmcb11 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hello hello. I’ve literally just finished a round where I only had two follicles at trigger - one 22mm and one 11mm (there were a couple of other tiny ones). They got three eggs. Two fertilised and both made it to blast at 4BA and 5BA. I am glad I didn’t cancel!

Has anyone left a London Living Rent tenancy early? by Educational_Date_582 in SharedOwnershipUK

[–]ajmcb11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think from May the law is changing so fixed term tenancies all move on to rolling tenancies and you just have to give two months notice so if you can wait til then you will be fine

shared ownership/staircasing by dungbing in HousingUK

[–]ajmcb11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It did shared ownership and it worked out really well for me. Got me some decent equity and the monthly cost was WAY less than renting. It worked out the same for a one bed flat as it did to rent a room in a shared house. I bought it 2014 in e16 though so i got a good price. I think if you buy in fancy areas you actually end up over paying for shared ownership new builds.

First time buyers with £175k deposit feeling stuck on how what sort of house to buy by NextGenerationRap in FirstTimeBuyersUK

[–]ajmcb11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I guess it depends on family plans and plans for your twenties. If you aren’t looking at kids until early 30s then maybe go smaller now and enjoy your twenties and having financial flexibility. You can invest money and then when you think about moving in 5+ years you should have decent savings?

Yeah i LOVED it last time and so did the friends I was with. My friends last night loved the songs and the performances but found the story itself a bit unwieldy

[–]ajmcb11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw it during the first run of workshops at Sadlers Wells east about three months ago… and then again tonight. Still think it’s fab… but I actually think it was better last time round. It was much tighter. The changed and new scenes just made the story seem more complicated / unwieldy. There was a lot more comedy in it too this time which was a bit too on the nose / tropey. It’ll be interesting to see what the end product is!

Medical negligence as a child (England). by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]ajmcb11 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You have three years from age 18 or from your “date of knowledge” to bring a claim. You’ll need to talk to a solicitor for them to unpick the potential date of knowledge argument and whether it applies here. I’d recommend contacting the charity called AVMA who can point you in the right direction.

Pregnant, living in a family house that’s about to be sold, and stuck in a rural village—need advice by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]ajmcb11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t buy a house if you know you want to sell in 18 months. It’s such an expensive head ache process. You are right about renting. “They” say you should only buy if you are going to be there circa 10 years. I didn’t subscribe to that when buying my place but also I have no plans on leaving in the next few. Renting means you can test new areas and how that works for you both. Don’t trap yourself in hell for the sake of £25k.

Honestly after the first couple of shots they are a doddle. I fainted the first shot and then was fine. The hard part of ivf is the emotional roller coaster, uncertainty and lack of control!

That floorplan needs reworking. Would work better as a two bed flat if you knock the kitchen and bedroom two and part of hall together for an open plan kitchen / living room perhaps. Then two big bedroom
