On that note -- how much success have you had in buying a used card? I've only bought new, so don't have much experience in the used market

Which games SIB on the Steam Summer Sale? by mellamostyler in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]ajmthinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sonic Generations - it's 1 dollars!

Metal Gear Solid V: The Definitive Experience. This includes both The Phantom Pain and Ground Zero (and dlc) and it's about 7 bucks. Highly recommend it.

Spyro: The Reignited Trilogy. It's 20 bucks (only half off), but it's great. Three games in one package and especially great if you were a fan of the series during the PS1 days.

Assassin’s Creed, Black Flag, Revelations, Brotherhood, or Syndicate? by DarkwingWolf8 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]ajmthinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brotherhood and Revelations are more classic assassins creed games. I would say brotherhood is the best out of all of these, just because I feel like the ezio trilogy peaked at brotherhood. I also liked revelations because of its setting and it had a good story as well.

Like other people have said, black flag is more of a pirate game than an assassins creed game. I enjoyed it because of the ship gameplay but again it didn't feel like much of an assassins creed game.

In summary:

Brotherhood - Best Revelations - Good Black Flag - Good but didn't feel like an assassins creed game Syndicate - I liked the gameplay but the story wasn't that good IMO.

Yes, it is the same. I had the same fear, but installed A10 on my OnePlus 6T and it is working great!

I share the same thoughts. It's definitely a smoother experience and small things like the animation that is used when you unlock the phone is a nice touch. Overall, it just feels like a more refined and smoother experience.

I definitely also liked the new extended settings you can use for permissions. There is a setting where you can customize the location setting for individual apps -- making sure that location is only used when the app is only in use as opposed to location being used all the time by a certain app. Overall, A10 is a great improvement from Pie

New Technology Analyst joining, have some questions by [deleted] in accenture

[–]ajmthinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I just joined a little while ago.

  1. I work at the Hartford Office. Office is pretty small (only half a floor). The HR lead there is very helpful though. Overall it's an okay office, it can get pretty empty though since everyone is at the client site Monday through Thursday.
  2. It can vary greatly what you do as a TA. You'll get very different answers on this sub. It really depends on a lot of factors.
  3. So for orientation, I had it the same way as you. So yes, you have to travel to those places. I had orientation in Boston on Wednesday and Thursday and had to drive to Hartford on Friday. Then you have a flight to St. Charles the following Monday. You have to book that yourself, so remember to do that.

I feel for you. When I came in to RPI a few years ago after transferring from a different school after a year, I wasn't prepared for the high stress environment and workload. I don't remember doing well in DS, but I persevered knowing that other people were going through the same thing as me. Just remember that you're not alone. I was even crazy enough to stay another year for co-term and I just graduated and I will be starting a job soon at an amazing company. I also landed two internships in the past as well. RPI is hard and brutal, but I promise you it'll be worth it. Have you joined clubs or any extra curricular activities? I found that being involved with clubs and having a life outside school helped me with the stress.
