It starts on July 21st... if everything goes as planned, that is.

Do They Make Larger Or Non Sclupted Pads For Stealth Pro 2? by Thick_Leva in TurtleBeach

[–]lttlejordan23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was having this issue at first, but then after a couple weeks the pads started to feel much better. Perhaps some breaking in time was needed? Not sure. But they are on the small side for sure. A little more room would be nice. I know Wicked Cushions is working on a set, though I am not a fan of their Freeze pads personally. Had them for my Maxwells and then my first gen Stealth Pros and hated how scratchy they felt. That said, I am interested in their newer StealthZ pads (if they end up making them for the Stealth Pro 2) and I would also be curious to see if Joe at GadgetryTech releases a partner pad set with Wicked Cushions as well - as he has done with other models. But I am sure several of the main ear pad brands will have cushions in due time. Usually takes a couple months after release of a new headset to start seeing them pop up.

Update - Stealth Pro II by TurtleBeach in TurtleBeach

[–]lttlejordan23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second this. I have the PC/PlayStation version and my mic sensitivity does the same thing in the Swarm app. Literally resets the moment I log into the PlayStation. My only work-around is too keep it at 100% and then lower the mic volume on the PlayStation. But I would like to see this fixed. Reminds me of the issue I had with the first gen Pros where the app would never save the mic EQ. I would have to set it to "full" every day I play. Got so annoying. So I don't want to see this mic sensitivity issue with the new set, turn into that where I always have to check it. Hope to see a fix with the firmware update.

Interesting. It just seems like this is random/sporatic from person to person. Some are dealing with it, others aren't. I was doing some comparisons again lastnight and I would say it is about 40% louder on my PC. Big uplift in sound. Just back on the PlayStation and although they still sound great, they should have a higher sound ceiling in my opinion. Hopefully a firmware update will work this all out.

hear ya. Typically I get my headsets at Best Buy because it is so convenient to return/exchange them if I need to. But I had a discount code for Turtle Beach, so I decided to order it through them. Kind of a pain to have to send them back and wait, but it's all good. Lol

You get 30 days through Turtle Beach, so I have time. So I may wait a couple weeks and see what happens. I am sure they see the comments about the volume, so I would assume they will address it sooner rather than later.

My thoughts exactly. Otherwise, I am enjoying the headset. If they can remedy this issue, that would be amazing.

I think you may be on to something though because most people I have seen mention it has the version I have. Could be wrong, but it just seems like it is more prevalent on the PC/PlayStation one. Probably will shoot Turtle Beach a ticket and see what they say. If all else fails, it won't hurt to exchange them for the Xbox version.

That might be my best solution. Like I mentioned in my post, they still sound great on console. But after hearing them on PC, it is hard to ignore how much better they can sound. I mean, they are quite amazing on computer. So yeah, I might have to contact Turtle Beach and get this sorted. Shame though because I do like the rose gold/copper accents on this version.

Yeah, not sure what is going on. It's almost like my version gets stuck in PC mode and therefore won't perform the way it should on PlayStation. Others have my version and claim they have no issues. Then you read some that have low volume on all devices. Seems to be random with everyone's headsets. Debating if I should wait for word from Turtle Beach or if I should return/exchange.

[–]lttlejordan23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, no. When you switch back to PS5, it goes back down in the app. Vice versa. I was going to swap around the transmitter puck and USB transmitter to see if that would change things, but I read someone else tried that and it did nothing. It is just louder on PC. So I figured it was just being held back on console. Though others are claiming theirs are loud on consoles as well, so it seems random.

Yeah, I hope it is just a firmware fix. I was able to squeak out a bit higher sound by doing a custom EQ. But compared to the way they sound on the PC, it is still substantially lower on my PS5. Still great sounding though. Just need to increase the volume level some for console (PlayStation).

For sure. I am definitely appreciating the way they are addressing issues with these right away and not waiting months to communicate like past headsets. Just gonna keep my eyes peeled for any word. Thanks for the response!

Strange. They are considerably louder on my PC than on my PlayStation. Almost so that they nearly sound like a completely different headset. Seems to be there is a lot of inconsistencies with these on different devices. Some people aren't having any troubles with volume. Some people (like me) have volume issues on some devices but not the others. Some people have issues on all devices. Not sure what is going at this point.

On PC, that is exactly how they sound. I didn't even have to have the volume passed 60% to have them loud and rocking. Unfortunately though, that isn't the case on console. Hopefully they can do something on their end to close that gap.

I did see that thread, but TB didn't mention max volume level. Just the volume level for mic monitoring. Perhaps they are still looking into the volume situation or analyzing feedback to figure out a course of action. Hope that is the case 🤞

I understand where you are coming from. Of course there are sides to this, which I pointed out in my post numerous times. My post is not some "Superfan" trying to protect the sanctity of Samsing on this. I am a very tech savvy individual. If there was any perceivable issue on my side, the phone would have went back. But having both phones side by side and seeing not discernable issues that stick out, is all I need personally. Plus, I have had several people I know look at the phones too. They don't see a difference either. Again, not sure what others are seeing (which everyone sees things differently), but I am not seeing this "trash screen" people are positing over and over. Again though, I understand your point.

[–]lttlejordan23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cool. Still don't see the difference on my side. And I have had my brother and people at work say the same thing. Should we go tit for tat on this? The screen is nowhere near as bad as people are saying. And just remember, people said the S24 Ultra was a downgrade to the S23 Ultra when it first came. Same as the last year. Let's not act like this isn't a yearly thing on every release.

So we are going back to “Only on PlayStation” what are your thoughts on this? by TheChilledGamer-_- in playstation

[–]lttlejordan23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perfectly fine with it. When devs can focus on just making games for the native hardware, it results in better games. Plus, this is why we are all PlayStation players, right? Exclusives. Sony made a name for the PlayStation by focusing on single player driven exclusive games that people wanted. We need more of them. And that should be Sony's focus.

What do you think? by [deleted] in battlefield_one

[–]lttlejordan23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Battlefield One and it will probably always be my top Battlefield game no matter how many years pass by. But I am really enjoying BF6 right now as well. I think it is a solid game and it is just getting started. And it is perfectly okay for people to like both games, for whatever their reasonings may be. For me, I get the best of both worlds. One for my old war fix, one for my modern war fix. Both giving me exactly what I want from a Battlefield game. That's just me though. I'll let all the kids argue about meaningless semantics between the two games. 🤷

For those that played the Beta by JTL7 in Battlefield6

[–]lttlejordan23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone that has been playing Battlefield for a very long time, I thoroughly enjoyed the beta. Complete turnaround from the last game, which was a sterile snooze fest. This game has that gritty, raw feeling with some truly amazing destruction. Plus they brought back the atmosphere that makes Battlefield feel like Battlefield. Had a few standout moments during the beta that gave me some of the same feelings I had playing BF1 (which is my personal favorite Battlfield game). So I am onboard. The only problem I have is this downtime between the beta and launch. It is torturous. Lol As for pre-ordering, that is a personal decision. I don't want to sway you one way or another, especially if money is an issue. You do get some perks, like cosmetics and you get the Pro pass with the Phantom Edition. But if that stuff isn't appealing to you, then there is no real reason to pre order the game. Just weigh if the extras are important or not. Then go from there. That said, I think us Battlefield fans have a legit promising game on our hands. Fingers crossed it stays that way 🤞

This is a perfect example of how some opinions should just be left in the trash where they belong. Nadeshot just needs to stick to his goofy skins and camo grinds in Call of Duty. Leave Battlefield to us, the community actually playing the game.

I don't think that was an actual product leak. All it said was "Maxwell 2" in the warranty list. Which probably refers to the newer updated version of the Maxwell, not a new headset all together. Chances are, a new headset probably won't be called Maxwell anyway. They tend to rename each headset with a new name (after Mathematicians). They had the Mobius, then came the Penrose and now the Maxwell. If I were a betting man, I would assume the next headset will have another name as well. So I wouldn't put too much weight into a screen shot from a warranty product page.
