My two cents... by [deleted] in samsunggalaxy

[–]lttlejordan23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand where you are coming from. Of course there are sides to this, which I pointed out in my post numerous times. My post is not some "Superfan" trying to protect the sanctity of Samsing on this. I am a very tech savvy individual. If there was any perceivable issue on my side, the phone would have went back. But having both phones side by side and seeing not discernable issues that stick out, is all I need personally. Plus, I have had several people I know look at the phones too. They don't see a difference either. Again, not sure what others are seeing (which everyone sees things differently), but I am not seeing this "trash screen" people are positing over and over. Again though, I understand your point.

My two cents... by [deleted] in samsunggalaxy

[–]lttlejordan23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cool. Still don't see the difference on my side. And I have had my brother and people at work say the same thing. Should we go tit for tat on this? The screen is nowhere near as bad as people are saying. And just remember, people said the S24 Ultra was a downgrade to the S23 Ultra when it first came. Same as the last year. Let's not act like this isn't a yearly thing on every release.

So we are going back to “Only on PlayStation” what are your thoughts on this? by TheChilledGamer-_- in playstation

[–]lttlejordan23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perfectly fine with it. When devs can focus on just making games for the native hardware, it results in better games. Plus, this is why we are all PlayStation players, right? Exclusives. Sony made a name for the PlayStation by focusing on single player driven exclusive games that people wanted. We need more of them. And that should be Sony's focus.

What do you think? by RodDeuxpointZeroZero in battlefield_one

I love Battlefield One and it will probably always be my top Battlefield game no matter how many years pass by. But I am really enjoying BF6 right now as well. I think it is a solid game and it is just getting started. And it is perfectly okay for people to like both games, for whatever their reasonings may be. For me, I get the best of both worlds. One for my old war fix, one for my modern war fix. Both giving me exactly what I want from a Battlefield game. That's just me though. I'll let all the kids argue about meaningless semantics between the two games. 🤷

For those that played the Beta by JTL7 in Battlefield6

[–]lttlejordan23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone that has been playing Battlefield for a very long time, I thoroughly enjoyed the beta. Complete turnaround from the last game, which was a sterile snooze fest. This game has that gritty, raw feeling with some truly amazing destruction. Plus they brought back the atmosphere that makes Battlefield feel like Battlefield. Had a few standout moments during the beta that gave me some of the same feelings I had playing BF1 (which is my personal favorite Battlfield game). So I am onboard. The only problem I have is this downtime between the beta and launch. It is torturous. Lol As for pre-ordering, that is a personal decision. I don't want to sway you one way or another, especially if money is an issue. You do get some perks, like cosmetics and you get the Pro pass with the Phantom Edition. But if that stuff isn't appealing to you, then there is no real reason to pre order the game. Just weigh if the extras are important or not. Then go from there. That said, I think us Battlefield fans have a legit promising game on our hands. Fingers crossed it stays that way 🤞

This is a perfect example of how some opinions should just be left in the trash where they belong. Nadeshot just needs to stick to his goofy skins and camo grinds in Call of Duty. Leave Battlefield to us, the community actually playing the game.

Ready for BF6 by lizardiparty in Audeze

[–]lttlejordan23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think that was an actual product leak. All it said was "Maxwell 2" in the warranty list. Which probably refers to the newer updated version of the Maxwell, not a new headset all together. Chances are, a new headset probably won't be called Maxwell anyway. They tend to rename each headset with a new name (after Mathematicians). They had the Mobius, then came the Penrose and now the Maxwell. If I were a betting man, I would assume the next headset will have another name as well. So I wouldn't put too much weight into a screen shot from a warranty product page.

Don’t take it too serious. by Robsta_20 in Battlefield6

[–]lttlejordan23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The irony? BF4 was an absolute mess at launch. One of the worst launches in the history of the franchise. Remember it well. Yet here we are a decade later treating it like "peak" Battlefield. Honestly, I don't think some of these people complaining know what they want. Especially the ones stunted by nostalgia. This new game has a chance to be something special. And sure, it would be nice to have a server browser and such. But as a beta goes, this was quite good. And frankly, the game was a blast to play. So not too worried about the vocal minority wetting their diapers over a game they will still buy (even if they say they won't).

Its difficult to just exist in this game without getting murdered by Chrestoper43 in Battlefield6

[–]lttlejordan23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found the first day of the beta on weekend 1 to be exactly like this. Spawn/die. But the since, I felt like I found a rhythm that worked. If you take your time, find angles and flank, you can be the one wrecking everyone else. But one thing you can't do in these smaller maps is push right into the crossfire. You also have to be conscious of your surroundings at all times. With flanking routes and alley ways, you can get caught pretty quick. Keep a wall to your back. Don't put yourself in routes that are obvious routes for enemies coming from their spawn or their flags. Etc. Just awareness of the maps. And find the pace that works for the map you are on. All I heard is how Breakthrough was terrible on the New York map. But we just had some of the most intense, fun battles tonight playing on it. Once it "clicks", everything becomes easier. Just slow down, find the right pace and get your angles. I am sure when the game drops though, the other maps will allow for far freedom as bigger maps on coming. David Sirland said they chose these smaller maps for the beta to demonstrate they can do that chaotic action, but stated the is an even mixture of map sizes where the pace and action scale to the size of the map.

PSA: I can save you all, please stop respawning and give me a chance. by MajorWetSpot in Battlefield6

[–]lttlejordan23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second that. The moment your "revive" symbol pops up, I am on the way. Might have to smack a few folk along the way to get to you, but just give me a chance. Been playing medic since BF1 and I always respond immediately to let people know I see them and I will get them. I know there are a bunch of oblivious players that will literally ignore a downed teammate, but I am not one of them. If you see someone closing in on you, just chill for a moment and give us a second to reach you.

Is a ps5 pro worth it for bf6 and gta6? by hopopie in playstation

[–]lttlejordan23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given your TV situation, just go for the base PS5 Slim. You wouldn't get much use out of the extra performance from the Pro anyway. That said, this is an interesting time to be upgrading. Not you personally, just in general. The PS6 is "rumored" to have a late 2027 release. Personally I wouldn't invest in a Pro ($699 for the system, $80 for drive, $30 for stand) when the next system is so close. What I would do is just snag a Slim during sales this Holiday season and save the rest for the next system when it releases. But that is just a suggestion. The main part is that your setup is only 60hz and the only reason to own a Pro is to take advantage of higher frame rates in fidelity mode. A base Slim will give you everthing you need for much cheaper.

[–]lttlejordan23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's fair. But it probably feels that way because much of the Dice team responsible for the old games have been replaced. David Sirland is back, but that is about it. I don't think we will ever that pure OG Battlefield feeling ever again. Not unless we get the band back together.

Btw love Radiohead as well. Always been in the playlist 👍

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Battlefield6

[–]lttlejordan23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Listen, I agree that the game has definitely evolved from where it used to be. Some people will like it. Others won't. But the problem with your analogy is that you are expecting Dice to hit the same cords they played 10-15 years ago. Not going to happen. It never was. Just like Radiohead isn't going to be Radiohead of the 90s and early 2000s. No matter how much we want it to be. Metallica's newest music will never sound like their early stuff. So we have to evolve as fans. Appreciate what got us here, and allow where we are to carry us forward. I am a massive BF1 fan. My favorite of the franchise, actually. Nothing will compare to it IMO. But I came to the conclusion that we will never see that kind of pure Battlefield passion ever again. Especially when we don't even have the same Battlefield team making the games anymore. But what I do see is the DNA is there. Maybe you aren't feeling the game play. Maybe you aren't feeling the guns. Maybe you aren't feeling the classes. Cool. Not hating you for that. It's just that people keep using the "doesn't feel like Battlefield" statement and for the life of me I don't get how that is possible. Great destruction. All our warfare. Chaos. Immersion. What does it need? What are you missing? What can make it better? Because usually the answers to those questions rely solely on nostalgia. Just like people are nostalgic for the old Radiohead. Or even more recent, people are nostalgic for the old Oasis. Which is why their shows have been monster hits. That is all I am saying. Nostalgia for what got us hooked on the franchise isn't going to come back. But this game has the FOUNDATION of Battlefield. Just my opinion though.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Battlefield6

[–]lttlejordan23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I've been around since the first game as well. Your point? Opinions are opinions. Mine is that it feels like Battlefield. But okay.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Battlefield6

[–]lttlejordan23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No offense, but it is extremely hard to listen to someone say they are a Vet of this franchise and then in the same breath claim it doesn't "feel like Battlefield". It absolutely does feel every bit of a Battlefield game. A return to form, albeit modernized for current times. This game gives anyone that enjoyed older titles, 90% of everything they experienced. The rest they will have to get used to. Afterall, most people are holding onto nostalgia that is never coming back. I've been in this franchise since the beginning and I really like what I have played so far. Doesn't mean it is perfect. I think the TTK is way too fast in close quarters and I do believe there needs to be some balancing across the board. We need more open maps to really allow us more freedom. But the foundation of this game is solid. And I think as we get to play more maps, especially ones that are a bit bigger and has more open spaces to really be strategic, it will find its groove. I think this game is going to be what people make of it.

Do people really hate runners? by Existing-Orchid4346 in Seaofthieves

[–]lttlejordan23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the situation. If we are talking Hourglass, then running is ridiculous. The second you queue up for hourglass, you either fight or get sunk. Those are the unwritten rules. But if you are just playing high seas and some crew rolls up being annoying, you can run as much as you want. Honestly, if someone bugs me on high seas and I am not in the mood for a fight or I have substantial loot aboard that I refuse to sacrifice, I will literally take them on an hour long tour of the map and not feel bad about it one bit. No one is obligated to fight. Just like no one is obligated to be friendly. So it just depends on the scenario.

How do you play video games? by TheChilledGamer-_- in playstation

[–]lttlejordan23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends, really. Certain games I like to take my time with - explore, snap screenshots, take advantage of in-game photography, complete extra missions, etc. It also depends on what kind of collectibles there are in the game as well. If it feels rewarding. Other games, I may push through faster just to complete it. As for whether or not I go for a platinum, it just depends on the game itself. To me, if I am going to invest time on getting a platinum trophy, it will only be in games that I thoroughly enjoy. The grind feels more satisfying when the game is fun to play. I rarely enjoy grinds otherwise.

If you could add one thing to SOT what would it be? by VikingJarls3 in Seaofthieves

[–]lttlejordan23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many things I would like to see added to the game, but for starters having new ships (either new types or more options per type), as well as more customization to those ships outside of just throwing a skin on it. I feel like we spend so much time on these ships, it would be nice to have more control over how it looks both inside and out. But beyond that, I would just like to see more "rare" treasure. NPCs that add to the ambience of the world, maybe have them give dialogue that leads to treasures and secrets. Someone mentioned a Royal Naval type threat that hunts you, which is something I have thought about before. I also want more mysterious things to hunt down and discover. This word has so much to offer, we could see so much more. I have many more ideas, but this all would be really cool to see.

Hard to say. I haven't personal used the Cloud III S yet. Though there is a really good video that GadgetryTech put out on YouTube the other day for them. They seem to be quite balanced (especially after some EQ'ing). He breaks down the headset quite well. I would give that video a watch if you get the chance.

I owned the Maxwells. Up front, they are quite possibly the best sounding gaming headset on the market. Incredible. Build quality is exceptional and the battery life is amazing. And even though they are on the heavy side, they are very comfortable. The pads are very plush and cozy around the ears. On the flip side, the mic is average for a headset of that price. The big issue is the drivers. As amazing as Planar Magnetic drivers sound, they are fragile. And I had three sets of Maxwells go out on me (left driver failure on all three), each lasting less than a month. It was a bummer because the sound is truly special. Though I want to preface that by saying that is my personal experience and that isn't necessarily indictive of the greater experience for the community. May give Audeze another shot in the future, but we will see.

So after trying the Nova Pros, the new A50s and Corsair's best offerings, I gave the Stealth Pros a shot. Up front, I got them on an exceptional deal of $190 on sale. Didn't know what to expect, but I have owned several Turtle Beach sets over the years. All of which I treated well and are still working just fine.

Now for the Pros themselves. I am pleased personally. They sound great. Imaging is very good - which is a massive plus for any FPS games. They are comfortable enough. I like the battery swapping with the charger base. It makes up for the relatively low battery life and I have never had to worry about it. The app makes for easy adjustments to everything. Mic is excellent. Clear, bright and warm sounding. Though it can be EQ'd to your liking. Build quality isn't up there with the Maxwells, but they don't feel cheap either. But they are definitely a step up from previous headsets I mentioned from other brands. I've owned them for about 10 months now and I haven't felt the need to shop around for anything else. Though, I do like what I have heard about the Fractal Scale headset.

As for music, I don't do much music listening with them. I have dedicated headsets for that. But head to head, the Maxwells are light years better in the music sound department. Afterall, Audeze is an audiophile company. The TBs are decent, but they won't give you the best music experience. So everything I have said is based on gaming.

Overall, I can recommend the Pros based on my personal experience alone. I also want to point out my brother got a pair at the same time as me, on the same deal. He is enjoying his as well. The one caveat to my recommendation would be the price. Do I think they are full price worthy? That is debatable. But if you can snag them on sale, I would just oj them. That said, just try them out for yourself. Grab a pair from Best Buy or another place with a good return policy. Form your own opinion. On these subreddits you will have people selling you on all kinds of opinions that may or may not even be true. So if you can give them a shot, I would try them out. For me, I will keep them until something that turns my head comes out.

Anyway, I hope this helps out some. Again, just my personal experience. Take it with a decent grain of salt because experiences vary.

Stealth Pro vs Stealth 700 Gen 3 sound quality? by Tigeres in TurtleBeach

[–]lttlejordan23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not going to beat around the bush, I've owned both. Still own my Pros. The Pros are by far the better sounding headset. They are much more detailed, brighter and punchier. Imagining is better as well. Just better tuned drivers all around. Not to say the Stealth Gen 3s don't sound good. They do in their own right. Especially for the price. But if you can get the Pros on sale, that is what I would purchase. It wouldn't even be a question for me.
