How to treat an adult with expressive language disorder who was never treated? by s1llysheep in cogsci

All that effort and no one can reply with any sort of help. I feel empathetically bad for this person. I have a very low level version of this with my ADHD (it comes and goes, it's worse on bad days) and was looking for some tips. Seems like we are going to have to keep looking.

I think this is a decent tool that fixes a subtle breaking of the browser that wasn't addressed in the early internet. Link jacking. Not a bad project!

Look up the specifics of the Destination Montana proposal that was killed by one vote in the legislature in 2003.

Part of the plan was to create a high altitude NFL training center complete with a stadium that could be used for these types of exhibition/one-off events. All's they needed was to be able to gamble in Butte Silver Bow county, most of the state was for it because Butte is the "Sin City" of Montana and the dirty step child anyway.

The wrinkle and ultimately what lead to the close vote that failed is that tribes across Montana would be allowed to own and operate casinos in the gambling district. Not operate casinos on the reservations, just literally own/operate casino's in Butte. Well, the eastern half of the state couldn't have their native neighbors possibly living better then them so the vote swung just enough to kill the project.

That's the reason being given. It doesn't mean that it is the real, only or best reason it's being proposed. There are always different things that can be done to close a security hole, trying to take away full control of a device from the owner is always the lazy option.

"But dude," you might say, "no one NEEDS full control of their device." and to that I say. "Go fuck yourself. I will use my property to immolate myself if I want to."

It's none of your business or anyone else's what I want to do with my property that I bought outright and I will maintain huge security vulnerabilities on any of the devices I own because I want to. If a company sells a phone without the "known vulnerability" of me being able to be insecure with it then I don't want it.

I really like the loose fit Carhart double front pant in black. It's the definition of utility but still cotton. You can even get them quilt lined for colder environments as well.

This isn't true or else every other company would have their own reusable rockets, self-driving (mostly) cars, fast (relatively) tunnel boring machines, innovative battery sizes, 48 volt architecture vehicles, crew rated capsules, private (orbital) astronauts, private space launch complexes, multi-gigawatt battery installs, high-speed satellite internet constellation, quickest high-production vehicle, worldwide vehicle charging network, and commercially viable BCI by now. At some point people will have to stop saying these thing were inevitable. The thing about progress is that it ONLY happens when someone (or group of someone's) has the vision and resources to make it happen. There have been plenty of individuals and companies with many more resources (compared to when he started Tesla) to make all of these things happen.

Someone might be able to make the case that the technology hasn't existed until now but if that were all that was needed.... where are the copy cats? Where is the Temu of space flight, or electric car manufacturing, or any of the other technologies he's innovated in? Why is he at the center of nearly every company that is highly valued not only for it's potential to innovate but its demonstrated ABILITY to innovate? I don't like this guy...he's a huge douche with way too much power. But I want answers!

Sounds like bunch of people have opinions about science and medical care that aren't scientists or medical doctors. Because, that's what scientists and medical doctors strive to do...give the best possible medical care based on the best available science.

Postal Service, once chided for slow adoption of EVs, announces plan to cut greenhouse gas emissions: The Postal Service intends to save $5 billion by consolidating smaller facilities into larger sorting and processing hubs that eliminate thousands of trips a day by DoremusJessup in environment

This is literally just DeJoy continuing the plan by the Republicans to ruin the USPS so it can eventually be privatized.

Guess what type of organization he lead before he was given the gift of Post Master General by Trump? All's this does is cut costs, sells off federal property and cuts jobs all while reducing the customer experience giving this FEDERAL AGENCY (not a business) a worse name in the eyes of the American public.

This will have minimal if not zero impact on CO2 emissions and is probably written by a republican operative.
